Not being talented with a sewing needle, these "no sew" blankets have been a blessing! I purchased SEVEN (yes seven) of these kits to make as Christmas presents! I am disabled and on a limited monthly income so these were not only a handmade (partially) gift of labor and love, but MOST affordable! The quality and color of the fleece was perfect! Purchasing a higher quality fleece gaurantees easy laundering and longevity of this item! I have made and given these no sew fleece blankets as birthday, anniversary, house warming and Christmas gifts and they are ALWAYS a big hit! They are a very popular as Chinese auction items for community or religious fund raising items! I tried to order a similar item such as these closer to the holidays and they were no where to be found! Taking that into consideraton I ordered in QUANITY and EARLIER! I may order additional kits after I finish these!
I bought two of these to make , one as a trial and the other to give as a gift. I had never done these, but have one that I received as a gift myself a while back. I thought it was going to be hard, it wasn't - it was simple. After I got finished with the first one and realized that it all went very smoothly I decided to use it as a grab bag gift for work - the person who received it was impressed and fell in love with the pattern as they are a wine lover - it worked out perfectly - and I am looking forward to making the 2nd one and may even buy a few more to give out again as gifts and make one for myself... it is very simple and very special.
