This is a high quality pan that will last for many years. Used it to bake a loaf of banana bread and turned out just fine. It is nonstick but is very easy to clean.
I bought this pan to replace my old one ( a different brand) because their non-stick coating had begun chipping off. Since this one has no similar coating, I decided to give it a try. So far I've only had opportunity to use it just once, but the meat cooked perfectly and then slid off the lift-out trivet without any trouble. Washing (by hand) was a breeze. I appreciate not having to worry about ingesting remnants of any non-stick coating!
I was very pleased with finding these pans at Walmart. I did not want non-stick pans, and I believe the Nordic line is manufactured in the U.S. The entire process from ordering online to pick up was very easy.
Excellent quality and very durable bread pans! Bought two of these bread pans and they are just what I expect from Nordic Ware. I have used these many times and my white and wheat bread turn out perfectly every time. Very happy with my purchase!
I love this pan and will get a lot of use out of it. I had a bread pan that has non-stick and the coating came off. The glass loaf pan I had didn't brown evenly. Don't have to worry about that with this pan. Bread came out browned evenly even on the bottom. Nice.
Have used it with & without the rack. Works well.
I am very impressed with the quality of this meat loaf pan. Sturdy and practical for meat loaf lovers. Having a lift out feature makes clean up a breeze.
I bought this pan a few days ago and I literally just cooked my first meat loaf with it minutes ago and it's the best I've ever had! I didn't realize until about a week ago that these types of meat loaf pans, that keep the food above the grease drippings, existed, when I found out I decided to do some research and buy one. The thing I liked about this style pan with only two sides on it's insert pan, compared to the ones that have four sides, is that when you remove the insert it is easy to slide the food off of the insert to either of the open sides onto a plate. A four-sided insert would require you to manipulate a spatula or other utensils under the food to lift it out of the insert and more likely cause the food to come out in pieces. Another plus to the two-sided insert version is that you can (and I did) very easily bend the two outer ends with your hands in an outward direction in order to adjust how far the insert dips into the bottom of the pan. In other words if you bend the two outer end walls of the insert a bit further out in each direction then it will sit higher in the main pan. This is helpful with meat loaf because if you use a less lean beef, like 73% lean like I did, then it's helpful to have the insert and the meat sit higher in the pan because the less lean meat is going to produce more grease and having the insert sit higher in the pan means it won't be taking a bath in the drippings. Great pan, great price, and great results, I highly recommend it! Note the picture I included of the meat loaf I just made with this pan. Notice how the curved handles on the insert are not resting on the rim of the main pan like it will when you first buy it, that's because I lightly bent them outward so when the insert was placed in the main pan it would wedge-in higher in the main pan keeping the inserts bottom further above the main pans bottom and the handles up higher as well. This was easily done by hand and can be adjusted for whatever is best for what you are cooking.
My meatloaf tastes even better! Clean up was a breeze! Wish I bought this years ago!
Very nice pan. Heavy weight and perfect fit for my toaster oven. Works well in conventional oven as well. I will but another and look for different items. Well made easy to clean. Thanks
