I gave this to my father for Christmas who lives in FL in the woods. The bat house is perfect for his mosquito infested yard.
This bat house is good enough for Skikaka!!! Goes up easily with a single nail. Now I'm just eagerly waiting for bats to move in, maybe even... SHIKAKA!!!
Looks just as shown, and seems sturdy enough. Although the back chamber wall is pieced together and rattles a bit, but it doesn't fall out, so I think that will be alright. My only small disappointment was the lack of hanging recommendations.
Loved this bat house. I will be purchasing a larger one next.
My review of excellent is contingent on seeing some bats, but it is too early. I will re-review when this happens.
I would have liked it to be held by more than one screw / nail so that it wouldn't be able to swing on the screw. I plan to nail a small board flat against the tree under the bat house to help keep it from being able to be moved, and to imitate other bat houses that have a piece of wood for bats to land on underneath.
I haven't installed my Bat House, yet. The workmanship seems to be rather shoddy. Some of the brads used to attach the partions missed the partions altogether. Not a very big problem, but you would expect better Q/C.
Had this bat house for six months. Found the bat house in pieces on the ground. The back plate was still attacked to the tree. Nothing had hit it. Looking at the pieces I found it to be poorly constructed. I've always thought Walmart checked their Suppliers. ??
Did not even last 4 months. I got this in May, and now the cover is warped and pulling away from the sides. I assume the whole thing will fall soon.
