I HAVE SMALL & LARGE DOGS & THIS IS THE PERFECT HEIGHT FOR ALL OF THEM. I PURCHASED A BEAUTIFUL & COSTLY GATE FROM WALMART A FEW YEARS AGO, BUT THE LARGER DOG LOVES TO JUMP OVER THEM (WHICH IN OUR HOUSE IS OK) BUT SHE KNOCKED IT DOWN TOO MANY TIMES & RUINED IT. SO AFTER CAREFUL CONSIDERATION I BOUGHT THIS GATE & AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH IT'S LOOKS,METAL CONSTRUCTION, HEIGHT & EVEN A LOCKING MECHANISM. IT'S TALL ENOUGH TO KEEP THE LITTLE CRITTERS WHERE THEY NEED TO BE BUT NOT AS TALL AS THE OTHER ONE SO THE LARGER DOG CAN LEAP OVER IT WITH EASE. JUST WHAT I NEEDED! PLUS IT MAGNETICALLY SHUTS & THE DOOR SWINGS BOTH WAYS! FOR THE AMAZING PRICE I AM MORE THAN PLEASED WITH THIS CHOICE!
Easy to put together...sturdy... works wonderfully... the gate opens and closes easily for me yet the pet can't open it or jump over it!!! (i have a maltese but she's like 12 pounds) The door has a magnet so you lift it up a little and then you can swing it in either direction. My doorway is 27 and i was unable to screw in the screws to the plastic circles (base) and then to place in the other round circle that comes with a long screw... but it's still stays up with me just having it edged in the doorway.
This gate looks great! It's easy to open/close.
