I ordered this cake pan for my 3 year olds birthday party! I wanted to make his cake myself! I made a cake before his birthday to try it out and I loved it! He also loved it and wants to make a cake almost every day! I'm not a big decorater but this wasn't hard to do it shows up really good to decorate! Would recommend to anyone!

The Lightning McQueen cake pan was the first shaped cake pan that I have used since starting to decorate cakes. I was impressed at how easy it actually was to decorate a cake that looks just like McQueen. The directions seemed a bit overwhelming at first, but once I got started, it really was not that difficult and I think for a first try of a character cake, it turned out great!
It's been a couple years since I've used this pan but it turned out really cute. I didn't have all the necessary supplies, so that was a challenge, but being a very beginner, I was pretty proud of my work, though it was a bit challenging with my expertise level and lack of proper tools in Europe. Used it for 2 nephews birthdays and they both loved it.
Very nice pan with easy instructions. I used the whipped icing instead of the stiff royal icing. It still came out great.
It was good for the price but did not at all cook the way it was supposed to when I actually baked the cake.. I greased it like I was told to (with flour as well) and still when I tried to take the cake out of the pan, the cake ripped in several different spots...
It was a fun cake to make even though it took me (a beginner) 1 1/2 hours to decorate it...it is a little time consuming because I had to wait an hour for the cake to cool before I even decorated it!!...and I bought it for my son turning two and know hes going to love it...big mcqueen fan...it is a little on the small side so I suggest baking a sheet cake big enough to go underneath it or make other desserts too...otherwise I'm overall very happy especially with the price because before I found it on walmart.com I found it at wiltoncakes.com for $20!!!
While I really like the price for the pan compare to other retailers that was selling it, I must say I was a little disappointed in the overall size of the pan.
I am wondering why I was charge the 16.63 instead of the 11 something. that is crazy
