After my tonsillectomy I lost my sense of taste for several months. I was worried because it didn't return when I was told it should have so my doctor said taking zinc was the only suggestion he had to restore my taste or else my taste lost was probably permanent. I was discouraged but I took zinc anyway and I regained my taste back fully!! I couldn't believe that a simple otc supplement could do such an amazing thing. Turns out zinc is very important for a lot of normal body organ functions and also immunity from viruses (common cold). For decades, I have been familiar with Picolinates being preferred and proven forms of mineral compounds for their bioavailability. This Zinc Picolinate 50 mg. capsule is a very nice product. It gives me the potency I want in the form that is considered highly effective and user friendly. I consider Zinc to be a very important mineral to my body and overall health and wellness in a number of different and significant ways. Zinc has proven to be very valuable to me over a long time. Most zinc is not assimilated by most people's bodies but zinc picolanate will be absorbed much easier
Zinc needs an ionophore to help it enter cells. It should be formulated with one so you don’t have to also take quercitin or hydroxychloroquine for that purpose. If you take zinc without a helper, it is not very effective.
