Easy to use. Cost much less than ones i saw at homedepot $30 or other onlines.
Excellent controller that uses RF technology to control rather than infrared. My receiver cannot be located in line of sight of the transmitter, hence infrared would not work. This is the only unit I have found that works on this principle, and at an excellent price. Highly recommended.
I got this to control a large shop vac I use for a dust control system in my wood shop. It saves a lot of steps. So far it has worked without a flaw. Now to see if it holds up for the long haul.
I have a portable small heater from big lots its 1500W. I was looking for ways to remote control it so I don't have to keep getting up at night when it gets too hot/cold and this outlet control is the perfect solution! you don't need an expensive temperature sensor system, this 15 bucks remote and a 20 bucks heater from big lots work just as well. you will be able to gut feel the temperature in your bedroom before you sleep and estimate if you want it turned off 1 hour, 3 hours, 6 or 9 hours. like i always say, the great things in life don't have to cost an arm and a leg!!!!
We got this remote switch for some paper lantern lights we hung in our nursery. It's GREAT that the switch works even without being in clear sight of the outlet (the crib blocks the receiver). Also, we LOVE the fact that it has a timer. We only use the light with the timer on. This ensures us that the lights will not be left on longer than we want, eliminating the risk of fire. If we hadn't found this great device, we would have to bend down and manually turn on 3 separate switches to turn on the lights. So glad we found this!
I use 2 of them to remotely turn lights on and off. They have very good distance and do not need direct line of sight.
For me this has been a good purchase. It saves me many step, but you must always have the remote to operate it. In other words there is no way to turn it on or off when you are at the device without the remote. I was also surprised that it could be used to automatically turn "on" (as well as turn off) as device with a delay of 1, 2, 6 or 9 hours. This works well for me because I can turn a certain fan on some hours before I arise. Also, I have to say that the Walmart price in a very good one. Other discount places charge a few dollars more.
Just broke on me and the battery is not your standard one. Won't work in any outlet. Avoid this brand!
