This Schwan's pizza is my very favorite. So much flavor. You can taste the flavor of the beef, so good. Every Friday nite my husband has his usual pizza and I have my Cheesestake pizza and do not feel one bit left out. With a side of salad , it is so satisfying. But I often have several different pizzas a week.
The Pizzas, all of them are my favorite meal, I use to put them in the Microwave and I liked them that way, but and I do mean but, I have a really nice black old fashion skillet and I was making a dessert for my husband and had the oven on and into the oven it went. At the last minute I turned the broiler on and let it crisp the top..... I have been putting them into the oven since. Oh and I love to add Chopped up dill pickles to the pizza no extra calories and it does give it a different taste.
In our house, we usually have the pizzas for dinner. I absolutely love this Cheesesteak Pizza, a little stingy with the meat. But we saute onions and mushrooms. And put little bitty round pepperoni on the pizza. With extra cheese. We put the pizza in the microwave for 1.25 and then in our Nuwave for 5 mins. You get the most crispy outside crust but a moist inside, it is that good. Just wish they would have put more meat on the pizza. A little stingy with the meats. Really like the taste of the Cheesteak Pizza, but it does need more peppers on it. One we will keep on coming back for more There is no quality control that is very consistent, because we received the latest Cheesteak Pizza, with hardly any toppings, what is up with that. But one i will continue to buy if it has toppings on it as it should.
Very good. Hard for me to feel full after eating this. I add tomatoes and a ton of mushrooms on top of it and have a hugh salad too but again it's not filling and all their topping are frozen together in the center and you might taste a bite or two of steak but, over all it is a tasty item.
If I was to rate based strictly on taste, it would get a five. However, you should be fined for the misrepresentation in this picture. The few pieces of meat (maybe 7) are all bunched in one place and, of course, frozen solid so can't be spread evenly. All pizzas I have purchased have the problem of most of the ingredients plopped in the middle, creating a mound which is still cold inside when the edges of the pizza are very crisp. A bit more attention to quality control seems needed.
This really isn't a pizza. Think of it as a open-face cheesesteak sandwich on a crispy crust. It's a nice taste change from pizza because of the beef strips. I usually bake with a few extra vegetables (like chopped cherry tomatoes or mushrooms) on top.
Doesn't look AT ALL like the pic. Very little toppings. I added some fresh saut?ed spinach, mushrooms and tomato to it. Yum! Great flavor, poor amount of toppings.
We tried this pizza for dinner (the turkey sausage and pepperoni pizza is one of our "go to" entrees, and we love the cheesesteak wrap lunch entree); however, the cheese on the pizza did not melt properly thus making the pizza less tasty than expected.
We like the frozen pizzas as dinner meals for the most part. Easy to cook. One complaint is the amount of meat on the cheesesteak pizza. Seems like the amount of steak is getting smaller and smaller. Sometimes there's only a couple of pieces. Very disappointing, but we will still buy them.
The first one I had was great and there were no complaints but the quality control on some products I have determined has been poor. I have the pic but I could not find a spot to link it to the review.
