This is so easy to grab and take to work. There are busy days at work when I know I might not eat again for many hours so I go for high protein. This omelet microwaved well and if is a larger portion than I thought it would be. I paired it with fruit and it was extremely filling and satisfying.
Surprisingly tasty, though the ham-and-cheese are all in the center of the egg fold, so you get quite a few bites of egg-only, and some bites of ham-and-cheese-omelet. Also, eggs take longer to heat up in microwave. In sausage-egg-muggins, I need to nuke the eggs for a while and then add the sausage and muffin and nuke it all together for a while; with this omelet that's not an option, so I have to nuke it long enough to make the eggs warm or hot, and by then the ham is embers and the cheese is lava. Still, pretty good, and a good, low calorie count for what you get!
It took me a long time to get on the and wagon with this one. The calories are so low (90), I thought it could not be worthwhile. I was wrong. It is good and leaves a lot of room for extras too. They are out of this product more often than not, so stock up when you see it!
This is my go-to and favorite breakfast. I crave meat and protein and this is a great low calorie option. As I wean myself off of Nutri-system (I am going for more fresh and organic products now that I have a grip on portion control), I will keep these on hand for quick and easy breakfasts
I love this omelet. It's quick, tasty, high protein, and not many calories. I often top it with salsa to add some extra zip. If I don't have salsa, so pepper and Mrs. Dash liven this up. For those who say this was dry or chewy, I wonder if they are heating this properly? The heading instructions for this are different from every other NS item. You open the package, but leave the omelet in the package during heating. That could make the difference. I have never found this to be dry or chewy.
I don't like sweet breakfasts all the time, so this is a decent egg choice to provide variety from the egg and sausage muffin, which is great!. It is a little rubbery around the edges but texture is good in the middle. It's not a restaurant omelet, but quite satisfactory for "diet food" and only 90 calories.
This is a great breakfast and I love it because it's healthy and you can add salsa, green onions, or more veggies to it.... plus you get to add a carb to complete this meal! it's great if you're in a hurry and you don't want to take the time to fix an omelette yourself.
For my power fuel, I cook another egg, over easy, and open the omelet, lay the egg in there, and close the omelet back up. Gives it more substance and moisture and flavor. The omelet filling does the rest. It's not as yummy as a regular omelet, but hey, we're on a diet, guys! This works and is satisfying and feels a little decadent. Compared to a bar.
These are a nice change from my favorite (sausage and egg muffin). The only downside is that the edge of the omlet can become rubbery/chewy. I'll have to experiment with alternative preparation methods to see if that can be resolved... if this issue can be overcome, this will become a 5 star item.
This one is tricky to rate. The texture of the egg still has that reheated feeling, even if its heated in the microwave or the oven, rubbery and hard (no way near as good as freshly made). I love the filling. The cheese is more of a white cheese flavor, than a cheddar flavor, the ham taste and feel like very small chunks of ham. I feel like I'm looking for salt in a lot of the meals, and maybe because I have been eating so many low salt meals, when I bite into a piece of ham, I feel like it taste so flavorful. The calorie count is low, and the package suggest you have a portion of fruit with it. Giving me an option has been enjoyable. I have enjoyed this with plain Greek yogurt (think of it as sour cream) and salsa. I've done this with fruit as well. It's nice to plan some natural sweetness into my morning.
