Fits on my Trek crossover with 700cc tires 15 1/2” frame. Had to slightly bend sides out to fit over where attaches. Front attaching rods are at the very ends so rack isn't completely level. But it fits and is a good price.
Very light, but solid strong rack. I put this on my 29in Boundary mountain bike. Fits well with room to spare for back tire clearance . Directions were horrible, but not to hard to figure out. I added a few of my own washers to prevent bending. It has a place for a rear reflector. It also has a Tension bracket thing on top to hold very flat cargo. Could be taken off to save weight. Very light as is! Shipping was very fast as well. Metal is stamped with max 27kGS. Weight limit.
Excellent choice. I used this rack for my 4 days on a bicycle trip and I put more than 40 pounds on top.
I used this rack on a 15 day cycle camping trip with 40lbs of gear and had no problems whatsoever. in fact, this purchase is my second rack to mount on my girlfriends bike. the bikes are 26" and 700c.
High quality product, although I assumed that it would automatically fit most hybrid/road bikes - even though this was NOT stated in description...MY bad! My hubby made an easy modification to attach it to my women's size small GT Traffic 4.0 hybrid w/27 inch tires due to the little rods that extend from the front of the rack were too short to reach my factory drilled bike frame holes. This quick n easy fix worked out fantastically (see photo). I had no problem attaching the rack to the factory drilled holes near wheel axels (my GT can also take disc brakes). I did a lot of shopping around before I purchased this rack. It is very sturdy, has adjustable height & is well made for an excellent price. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars overall is because I had to modify, but saving $20-40 was well worth it. I bought this rack to go with MWave double day tripper pannier bags (see photo) which fit great on this rack. I use my bike to commute 14 miles to and from work, and for light shopping in town. I got a sweet deal at Walmart.com on this rack and very roomy set of pannier bags. Enjoy the ride!!
I haven't had a chance to use this rack much yet, but it seems to be a pretty solid piece. Instructions for mounting aren't the greatest but it's not too difficult to figure out.
This rack comes prewelded. Just bolt it on. Thus not as many possible failure points as some out there. I have a 700c bike an there is plenty of clearance. 700c is the same 622 rim as a 29' the tires use the same rim. Plenty of clearance. The thing for me is the bolts that came with do not fit my cheap roadmaster predrilled frame mount holes so I had to go buy a couple that fit. No big deal. Some should do their research before botching reviews. Nice rack. Sturdy spring steel!
The major issues with this rack are the directions are gibberish and the brackets for securing to my bike seat tube were too short for true horizontal mounting of the rack on my bike
It didn't come with instructions. The screws did not fit the bike frame. I had to go buy the bolts to fit the frame. They are a size larger than the ones provided. The rack is not one piece or solid for easier connection to the bike frame like other brands. Had I known that this wasn't I wouldn't have ordered it.
When I got the item there was a main part missing in-order to put it on the bike. The item came in a plain box, no markings, not a packaged box, with a bag of bolts and the instruction that were garbage and not easy to read and understand. They were nothing more than a list of parts. Went to return and found out it was sent by a third party vendor for Walmart. After a few minutes and 2 associates they finally took it back for a refund. I guess I was suppose to contact the third party vendor for returning it but, Walmart took it. The price from the third party was $15.00 more than the identical item that Walmart supplies. Go figure, it was on the website I ordered it from. I thought I was getting the one from Walmart and not the 3rd party. Surprise Surprise Thanks Walmart Online!!
