The product is exactly what we were looking for - a decent sized media cabinet that stores lots of DVDs and CDs with space on top for pictures and lamps. Our living room feels complete now. Our only complaint was that the locking mechanism is a bit difficult to get set perfectly, and the oak stain is a bit lighter than we were anticipating, but overall, we love it! Also, this same exact product was sold for $100 more through Best Buy, so I was very happy to find it on walmart.com
Very nice cabinet. Fast delivery. I love it!
We wanted a new stand for our new 42" tv and something to keep our toddler from rampaging through the dvds whenever out of view. This does both. I read a review where a guy said that only two of the doors locked. I dont know if he put it together wrong or didnt buy it at all but all four doors lock a connecting dvd space. Just what we needed.
This is a great product and price. It was just as described. It came with several bags of small parts which is to be expected with any furniture like this. It is very important to follow the instructions step by step or it will not come out right. Finnished product was exactly what I was looking for.
For the price, this was a great find. I needed something wide enough to hold my cable box and blue-Ray player on top. Also to able to hold over 200 DVDs! It took awhile to put together (thank you husband), and I didn't hear him swear once! It's exactly what I expected for the price and actually looks quite nice. You do need to have the doors locked or they will not stay closed. Big deal. My husband did gorilla all the shelves on the doors as was suggested in a review. They were falling apart and it was a quick fix. I would strongly suggest you do as soon as you put it together. We have utilized every inch of this cabinet. I'm very happy with this purchase. It looks exactly like the picture and, looks great in my family room. Thank you for offering a nice cabinet at such a low price. Highly recommend.
I ordered this and it arrived undamaged and on time. After reading the reviews on here I knew it would be best to put it together with another person so I took it to my dads. Their are several little bags of different screws and pieces of hardware that were included along with some rather basic instructions. Any way after nearly 5 hours of putting the cabinet together and correcting tiny yet important mistakes here and there, we FINALLY finished. It is worth the work! It is very sturdy and has a nice clean oak look to it. Make sure not to lose ANY screws it comes with as they give you little if any extras, we even had to run to Lowes to get 4 additional screws to completely finish it. You will love the fact that it locks and the tons of DVD space.
this is a very nice storage unit... only problem is the doors have to remani locked and closed bc if left unlocked with the weight of the dvds or cds on them they just open back up!!! other than that it is very nice
The cabinet itself is very well made and nicely finished. However, there are almost no written instructions and the pictures in the manual are often vague and confusing. As an example, the two trim strips which go under the bottom shelf each have a hole in the unfinished side. The holes are in the middle, lengthwise, but offset vertically. The strips need to be mounted with the hole closer to the shelf than to the floor or else the supplied braces, which attach via those holes will not fit. Worse yet, at least on my unit, some of the holes which were suppose to be pre drilled were missing, and a some were in the wrong location. There were also some screws missing, but a phone call to the company had them in my hands within a few days. Finished product is worth the aggravation, but would have been even nicer without it. I'd recommend it to a friend, but I'd let him know what he was in for.
low quality missing screws not sure it will hold up for long! I would say you get what you pay for but this was to high for the quality.
We opened the box to find poor quality particle board. When you push on the boards they bend under very little pressu. We've put furniture together before, but I can't imagine trying to get these boards put together well. e.
