I have had mine for about 18 months. It is easy to use and has very little wasted wood or charcoal. Super easy to put together. Would suggest setting up outside and not in the living room. Didn't fit out the door. Had to take partly back apart. I have recommended it to family and friends since my first cook.
Until I bought this smoker the only smoking I had done was in a small metal box on my stove top. I did a LOT of research. My three requirements were precise temperature control, usable for smoking OR grilling, and ease of cleaning. This smoker nails all three. The first thing that impressed me was the packaging. It was VERY well packed - even the washers and bolts were precisely counted and packaged. Then it was time to try it out. My first attempt was a whole chicken. I spatchcocked it, removed the breastbone, and then brined it. I smoked it at 250 degrees for 2 1/2 hours. It came out PERFECTLY!
I absolutely love cooking on this smoker. My Nana gave me the stamp of approval after my first cook.
Bought this about a month a go, and let me tell you! I had a horrible luck with the Ryder DLX, so many issues that I ended up losing part of my money (OKJ came through with some credits) but I was sore about it… said I'd never buy another OKJ product. But then I saw some videos online of people having great luck with this and I kid you not, this thing is a beast! Holds temp like if it was a pellet grill… the you do not need to fill the entire basket and it will burn for 7 hours easily! Cooked some ribs and the smell was sooooo good my neighbors showed up because they could not handled such a great aroma….. OKJ, you made a believer out of me again
Purchased last summer. By far the best smoker I've ever had. Best BBQ ribs I've ever had. Highly recommend.
Love the quality of this smoker. Very well built and easy to assemble. Absolutely love it and recommend this lil smoker
I am 56 years young and have always wanted to smoke but never have, until now. Last month I was gifted my Bronco from my parents. Wow! I don't have a hobby but if I had to name something that gives me pleasure and joy, it's grilling and now smoking. I'm gonna enjoy my journey. The Bronco was easily assembled. The heads of the bolts used for assembly could have been case hardened (my opinion), but other than that, this is a well designed smoker for small jobs which I will be doing. Would recommend highly.
Nice heavy construction, and it maintains heat easily. The pork butts and sausage I've made are delicious. I only have 2 issues: A- it leaks oils from the smoking process where the top
I've had mine since 2021. I can't get enough of cooking with this. I've done a couple briskets, hundreds of baby backs, lots of pulled pork and more. This a very versatile unit. You can adjust your fire box, giving you plenty of options for different methods. I bought a second deflector to allow middle of the barrel heat and still have to deflection for things like shotgun shells and small meats. The one issue is reloading the charcoal. Without a door, you have to remove everything. I also use a digital thermometer to ensure my temperatures are accurate, as the included thermometer is only accurate near the front half.
box was damaged have pictures to prove it , box has lots of tape where they taped the box together
