Was having a difficult time finding a digital camera in store anywhere in town decided to sign up for online Walmart shopping and found the exact camera I was looking for…ordered it and had it in less than a week. Delivered free to my door.
The TG6 is recognized as one of the best, if not the best, compact cameras on the market for underwater photography. I purchased this from Walmart because the price was right, and the delivery time is what I needed for my next dive trip.
I bought this camera to use while scuba diving and this camera definitely does not disappoint!! Amazing clarity, easy to use and durable. The colors come through !!! I definitely recommend this camera!!!
Great for underwater pictures and other rough elements and terrain that you want to avoid your smartphone. Marginally better at macro pictures, low light, and post-picture editing with other software than my 2-year-old smartphone. I mostly use it snorkeling so I can leave my phone high and dry. Not worth using for average scenery, selfie, and portrait pics.
This is a great very professional camera. I decided to buy the bundle because for $15 more it came with every accessory imaginable. I do suggest this camera but to check out the bundles because they're definitely worth the money
I'm concerned about the camera's validity status. As another poster said (and I brushed off as it's from Walmart and listed as new) the product is grey market. The book says: "The following importer description applies to products imported to the EU directly by OLYMPUS EUROPA
Nice camera, delivered in a full package, but without a U.S. warranty. Instead, it came with a warranty from the seller. In other words, this is a gray market product, imported into the U.S. outside the manufacturer's normal channels, and the manufacturer won't provide a warranty for it. This was not disclosed in the listing of the sale.
I ordered red and received black, and it appears the package has been opened. It was such a hassle getting it delivered so I won't return it. But so far has not been positive.
I needed a camera for macro shots... the microscope option made images too bright; the underwater option was ok for what I needed... inconsistent but ok. AFTER only 14 MONTHS, THE CAMERA DIED; WOULN'T TURN ON AND MADE A WHINING NOISE. OLYMPUS WANTS $200 (WITH SHIPPING) TO FIX IT. OBVIOUSLY ONE OF THIER PARTS FAILED, SINCE THE CAMERA HAS NEVER BEEN DROPPED OR EVEN WET. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY AND SO DISAPPOINTING; $400 for a disposable camera. I never tested the waterproof feature or distant shots. JUST BUY INSURANCE AND HOPEFULLY YOU'LL BE OK.
One star, is one too many. Should be a minus one. This was purchased for a rafting trip down the Grand Canyon. The second time it was used it leaked. Water entered the rear display, the flash, and between the lens and the protective outer cover. It clouded up and the camera was unusable until it dried out and all water evaporated. Every time I tried using it, it leaked again and again. Picture quality is poor. The colors are off, the pictures aren't sharp, and images are cloudy.
