We needed a better blood pressure machine. We had the wrist type and didn't feel like we were getting accurate readings. This machine appears to be very accurate. And, we like the A/B switch that keeps readings between two people separate. The arm cuff will fit almost anyone and the machine itself is almost self-explanatory. We love this machine.
In January of this year my BP skyrocketed sending me to the hospital where it was discovered that I had an aneurysm. Fortunately t was repaired but a long road ahead through the healing process. I now have to measure my BP numbers and log them three times per day. Since my purchase of the new Omron, it does this for me. It will maintain my readings for up to 8 months and when it is necessary, can e-mailed to my doctors office at a moments notice. The doctor's will be able to analyze the readings before my appointment which will allow them to stay on top of my treatments or give them enough information for them to know if another direction might be necessary. I am very comfortable using the new Omron. I prefer allowing it to take the 3 readings in one sitting and displaying the average of the three for me to see. I would suggest the new Omron 10+ to anyone that might have Blood Pressure concerns or issues. It was money well spent and removes the worry from me on its accuracy.
I've owned this monitor for quite awhile and I love it !!!!! It could easily have saved my life because whenever I have my blood pressure tested at a medical facility it is always worryingly high, anxiety driven. Now I take my pressure randomly at home between medical appointments, print out the monthly results and take them to my appointment to allay Dr's fears of constant very high blood pressure!!!! Thank you OMRON for a superior product !!!!!!!! Best Regards, R. Sassaman
The monitor meets all expections as stated by the manufactor. The instructions are easy to follow and unit is put into operation quickly. The download for using the device to store information on the computer went smoothly and I could load information into the files quickly.
Have used this for several weeks and it works great. Tells you when the cuff is not put on correctly. Cuff works with my large arms well and is fairly easy to put on. Good printed instructions were included which is nice. I have not tried the PC download part, but that hopefully works good too.
This is the first blood pressure monitor I've purchased since 1996 (the previous model was an Omron product as well). I'm very pleased with the ease of operation and accuracy of the monitor and how quickly results are available. I highly recommend this product and am impressed with the simplicity of ordering online using Wal-Mart's system. By the way, since there was no shipping cost, I saved over $32 compared to the price at a local pharmacy. This specific unit (the ability to save data on my PC was important) was not available at my local Wal-Mart store so I don't know what their price may have been and how that may have affected my decision to buy online as opposed buying locally.
The blood pressure monitor is easy to set up and use. The only problem I had was that when you go to the website as directed in the instructions to download the software it takes you to a login screen for current users and you can't do anything. I went to Omron's home page but that wasn't much help so I ended up using Google and searched for the software. Google took me to the correct spot on the Omron website and I installed it and it worked fine. My only warning about the software is that you cannot delete entries so if you intend to monitor on a regular basis like morning and evening I would suggest that you play with the software for a couple of days and when you have it the way you want it then I would reset the monitor and delete and re-add the user. Also don't forget that you can hold the on button down for two seconds on the monitor any time you want and the monitor will view you as a guest and not record the data. I have had this monitor for a couple of weeks and it is easy to use and the data upload to my computer is now very easy. My doctor recommended the Omron and suggested that I keep a manual log since it made the price of the monitor much cheaper. I decided to opt for the more expensive model the 10+ and now use the software to send him weekly reports. All in all after a minor rise in blood pressure over the software everything is working fine and I would recommend this model to anyone.
I bought a Homedics blood pressure monitor from CVS and it is always reading very high and hurting my arm a lot. I take a chance to order this and it takes a bout 10 days to get it. I was very surprise about its design quality: good display, easy to use, quiet pump, gentle on the arm, and accurate reading. I am happy about its accuracy because my nice whose is a nurse compares my new Omron 10+ reading with her manual blood pressure: They are very much same readings.
I did my research and thought that the bp monitor kit included a carry/storage case but when I received it there was none in the box. After checking with omron they stated that the case was discontinued in the 2013 models. This tells me that the information on your web site was out dated and was for an older model because it listed a storage/carry case in the included accessories. I'm just somewhat disapointed. WT12
I have an older Omron HEM-711AC which I have used for at least 10 years. I have checked its accuracy against the nurse's manual readings at my Doctor's office and found it to be accurate to within 5 points (high). The new one I just purchased, BP791IT) reads consistently high on both systolic and diastolic. I checked it at my Cardiologist against two manual devices with two different nurses and it reads 10 to 12 points on systolic and diastolic. I am requesting a replacement which is properly calibrated or a refund. The storage and other features are wonderful but of no value if the readings are inaccurate.
