Was like everyone said they picture is good and has no speakers stand is lose but can run some electrical tape around the ends reattached and stand is tight and works fine if I had use for another would purchase again for the price it's fine for mointering
Is it perfect? Nope. As many reviewers have stated the stand is garbage. I put it on a cheap monitor arm (I use this monitor is vertical orientation for discord and YouTube while gaming) and it perfect for that. It doesn't have the best viewing angles but when I'm at my desk it looks perfect. I wouldn't use this as a main monitor but as a second one? Yeah. Especially for the price.
This monitor is pretty good, it gets the job done. My only problem though is that the stand is very loose. Not big enough of a problem for return, though, considering I found a way to make it stand using a single Lego piece. Otherwise, it's a great monitor.
I bought two of these for computer monitors when I set up my home office. I LOVE THEM! The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because they do fall over easily. I read several reviews about how to stabilize them, so I am working on that now. The size and picture quality are amazing for that price.
We're really pleased with the graphics on this Onn LED monitor. The pictures are bright, clear, and vibrant. More important the font graphics are clean and easily seen\read. The 20" size is comfortable to view- not too big not too small. I'm using it as a larger viewing screen for my laptop, it's totally "plug & play" simple to set up and start using right away. My only reason for not giving this a 5 Star review is that the monitor stand is a bit light weight and flimsy, not sturdy. I think as long as it just sits on my desk untouched it will be fine but if yours will encounter any bumps or movements you may want to figure out how to make the stand more secure or maybe mount it on a wall.
If you are in the market for a good no frills inexpensive monitor, then this is the way to go. This ONN VGA Monitor offers clarity and a crisp image that ranks up with top of the line monitors at twice the price or more, it is backlit with an adjustable tilt angle and offers a 60 Hz refresh rate to assure a crystal clear image. A note on the adjustable angle, make sure and tighten the included screws full, or the monitor will have a tendency tilt on its own. The ONN VGA monitor supports both HDMI as well as the older VGA connector type, so it can be used with newer or older equipment. For home or entertainment this monitor does an outstanding job. Its sharp resolution is perfect for streaming movies, video chats, or as an external monitor for a laptop. As I said earlier, I have reviewed other ONN products, and don't let the newness of the name brand fool you. This is not a cheap knock off of a name brand. This is a good quality, well-made product at a very reasonable price. The documentation with the monitor could stand to be a bit more verbose, but the monitor does the job quite well. Brightness and other controls are located on the back of the monitor.
My biggest complaint is that the monitor's base is loose. When I first set it up, I thought that I just rushed and didn't put the screws in all the way. So I just left it. I finally have time and tried to "tighten" it. Well, it's just a crappy design, product. The monitor works fine. Not the BEST quality view. I'm ok with that. I only got it to use as an extra screen when I'm working on my computer. But the fact that it "flops" all over the place bc no matter what I do, the stand will not get tighter. Idk if the screws are too big or if it's just a poor design, but the screen will not stay put. It falls forward, or backward. I will likely have to buy a different base or stand. Which if I had known, I would have just gotten a more expensive one that works well.
I received the following item from the Spark Reviewer program and was asked to provide an unbiased product review. The Onn 20” 1280 x 720 HDMI VGA 60hz LED Monitor is a wide-screen HD display. The monitor comes with an instruction guide, power cord and a HDMI cable. The item can be connected to a computer by HDMI or VGA cable. The picture quality is good…however, I would not rate it excellent. The monitor stand is designed poorly. I followed the instructions and the stand would not hold the monitor upright. I had to modify part of the stand by using tape to increase the diameter of the pivot arm…after doing this and reassembling the stand the monitor would remain upright. The instruction guide is short and not well written…I didn't find it very helpful. Also, the power/control buttons used to operate the monitor are on the back of the display, which is not convenient or easy to use. The buttons are unmarked which make them even more difficult to operate. Overall, I would not recommend this product. The picture quality of this display is adequate…however, this does not make up for the poor design of the monitor.
The design is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. I guess it is supposed to be tiltable, but instead the monitor just flops around. I have to prop it against a wall to keep it from flopping forward or backward. God forbid someone bumps the desk. Plus the picture is dull.
If I could give it a zero I definitely would! I bought this for my son for Christmas for his gaming use and after 2 weeks it stopped powering on! My son went to turn it on and the darn thing said NOT TODAY or Tomorrow either!! I Guess we got our $50 worth of use for 2 weeks! Now its sitting in the corner in a plastic bin just useless!
