this review is for the onn full motion tv wall mount. this mount supports up to a 65" inch television. the mount itself is very heavy but thats very important because it must levitate televisions of a hefty weight. the metal mountIing plate that connects to the back of the tv feels like cast iron but the swing arm is made of strong steel. instructions state that it takes 2 people to lift your television into place. let me speak personally as an older woman, this project was a difficult task. it took me and my daughter to hold the tv up in the air against the swing arm front and we did not have a third person to handle the tool to screw it onto the mount while we held it. the instructions were more difficult than it should've been. so the part of the wall mount that was the problem is in the picture I'm posting with this review. this is so you will be able to see exactly how the pieces are supposed to be connected. also, with all this heaviness suspended, we screwed in 2 solid wood 12" inch by 24" inch long onto the wall with both ends being secured to the studs in the wall as well as placing the template for hanging the mount over those same studs. this week we will suspend a bottom shelf onto the underneath of this same wood board. this is so we will be able to place any cable boxes or cd players etc., right in back of the television. we've done this to our tv in the living room but that onn mount was a lot smaller and simpler to install for a smaller television. either way, we are pleased with the end product and i would purchase onn brands without question of their quality.
Works with TV's from 24" to 65" and to be sure it works with yours, get an ONN TV (also sold at Walmart. It's well-made and heavy duty although TV's are much lighter than they used to be. The spring-assisted feature is a plus. I got this because of hints about a Christmas gift and will update with a pic once it is received. Full warranty and installation guide included.
We were recently given a 48” flat screen that we had put on a stand in the living room. However, our living room is odd-shaped and not especially roomy, so having a bulky piece of furniture for the tv isn't ideal. This tv mount has solved that problem! It was fairly straightforward as far as putting it together & getting the tv onto the wall wasn't too difficult since I had my husband to help out! It's sturdy and secure, which puts my mind at ease. Plus, the various ways the tv can be positioned helps solve the problem of some seats being in “blind spots” as far as viewing the picture. Now I just need to get some covers to hide the cables/cords hanging down. Definitely recommend this tv mount!
I received the TV Mount some time ago. My husband has already mounted it to the wall in our den. It is very useful to have the tv mounted on the wall and not requiring a piece of furniture to sit it on. It effortlessly raises and lowers the tv, it also tilts and swivels for the best viewing and it reduces glare. It was very easy to install, my husband installed it by himself with no help. It was simple to install using the built-in bubble level. It came with all of the hardware to install and the instructions were very easy to understand.
The ONN Full Motion Spring-Assisted TV Wall Mount was installed in the corner wall of a small guest room for a thirty two inch television. Installation took approximately two hours for one person. Knowledge and skill are a plus when installing a full motion spring-assisted television mount. Full instructions are included. A picture diagram is included to check for every piece needed for a secure installation. The individual hardware parts (screws, nuts, washers, anchors, spacers, etc.) are compartmentalized in one long cellophane wrap. The needed tools to install the tv mount are presented in detailed illustrations. The ONN Full Motion Spring-Assisted TV Wall Mount is a great buy. The television does need to be the recommended dimensions and weight. The unit is sturdy and is made to allow the greatest range of movement for your flat panel TV. The articulated swingarm allows you to move the television towards or away from the wall, tilt it up or down, and angle it from side to side. The viewer will be able to watch the programs comfortably while in the bed or the sofa chair in the guest room. I would recommend the ONN Full Motion Spring Assisted TV Wall Mount for purchase. The product is well made, follow the recommendations, and keep the guide for future use and the limited warranty.
The seller was quick shipping this. It came very well packaged so no parts were lost. It won't work with my old TV. I'm getting a new TV and won't open this until I get it. It is heavy which implies it is well made. I am anxious to get it opened and mounted.
With a house full of kids having wall mounted TVs is a necessity. Usually a flat against the wall mount works just fine, but in situations where you need to place it in a corner a full motion mount is a must. As far as mounting goes, it's pretty straight forward. If you haven't installed a wall mount before you can follow the instructions or watch a short video, but it's fairly simple. Once it's all mounted up you can snake the cables down a small holder and boom, you're done. The mount is very study, with the spring supplying good holding strength, but also allowing you to easily articulate the tv. Be sure to mind the tension if you mount at the maximum weight limit though. I can't recommend this mount enough if you are in need of a decent full motion mount that won't utterly break the ba k.
I used this for our 50" onn. television and am completely satisfied with the strength, construction and very smooth operation. Moving the TV up or down and side to side is nearly effortless thanks to the spring-assisted portion as well as the high strength metal build. I highly recommend one use a stud-finder and have an extra level to assist in mounting this successfully, as well as a drill of course. Additionally, don't be intimidated by the directions, as they include a variety of options to work with various TV/configuration (mount) setups to choose from and then work from there. In other words, once someone finds their TV configuration, installation is pretty straightforward from there. The tilting feature is the only portion that one can't change without loosening the bolt to freely adjust it; this is to prevent the preferred tilt from getting wacky when moving the TV up/down or side to side. There's an arm sticking out of the mount that is used to tighten (or loosen) the tension of the up/down movement, as the mount is spring-loaded and one may adjust how freely the mounted TV moves by making any desired adjustments via this arm. I am so happy with how strong this onn. Full Motion Spring-Assisted TV Mount is, as well as the very smooth the movement is on this. The spring-assisted design means I don't have to put a lot of pressure on the TV while moving it to the desired position. I'm very impressed with the onn. line of TVs and now with the onn. line of TV mounts. Have a wonderful day!
A few weeks ago we decided to put a tv in our guest bedroom. I bought a smaller size 32" set at Walmart for a very reasonable price but I hadn't given much thought where it was going to go. It's a small room and it didn't fit well on the dresser, which is the only furniture in there other than the bed. I ended up putting a small table at the foot of the bed for the tv. A very inelegant solution; it looked terrible. I figured a wall mount was the way to go, but it couldn't be mounted on the wall opposite the bed since there is a closet there. A swing arm mount was needed so it could go on the wall at a right angle to the bed and allow you to still see the tv. This mount from Onn was the perfect solution. It swings out at a 90 degree angle, and will also raise and lower, and it even tilts. It's spring loaded, so moving the arm is super easy. Putting up the mount is not too difficult if you are the handy type; you will need to be able to accurately drill holes, use a level, etc. I had to buy a stud finder, since it must be securely bolted to a wall stud. It took me the better part of an hour to put it all together and mount it to the wall. It will hold just about any size tv from a 24" to 65". If you have a placement problem like I did, try one of these, it really works well and seems to be of very high quality and a good buy too.
I have owned this for about a month now, and I still don't have it installed, because I cannot do it on my own. Thanks to COVID and bad weather, every time we planned for my sons to come help me, one or the other (thanks 2021) hit and it was delayed. What I can tell from the items - they are extremely sturdy and well made. The plate to go on the back of my TV, a Samsung 65 inch that is about 8 years old, fits perfectly and that does attach easily. The bolts are secure, fit well, and there was no chance of me accidentally stripping them or putting them in crooked. The wall mount is way too heavy and awkward to attempt on my own. You will want to be precise and definitely ONLY mount on a stud. Messing with the sway and tilt of the arm, it has very very little play once secured. So it easily stays in place once positioned. When you do attempt to move it, it is fluid and smooth. I will update this as time goes by and it gets actual use.
