[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never had a pizza stick to the peel or pizza stone. This peel works great!! Just make sure your pizza crust is dusted well with flour and give the peel a small dusting.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you find yourself constantly cleaning up gooey messes on your stone due \to failed launches, give this a trey. The slick finish combined with the perforations provide a slippery surface that facilitates smooth launches every time. I also found that Poolish-based dough was more manageable and less sticky,
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We originally bought a wooden one to use with our Ooni because of the savings but it was not worth the problems. The Ooni slides under so smoothly and picks up the Pizzas so nicely it was worth the extra money. We now use the wooden one we bought to prepare the pizzas on and slide them in and to cut them on when they're done. 😋
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was on the fence about giving the extra euros for this peel, I already had a non perforated peel from a cheaper make, however my experience with the OONI turning peel gave me the extra push to get this one, and it has been totally worth it! If you're on the fence, make your self a favor and just get it!
I started out with a cheap smooth pizza peel. I made more calzones than pizzas. The dough would stick (yes I tried a variety of flours to prevent the sticking), the toppings would spill and it was just a frustrating mess. First time with the Ooni perforated peel, success! Nothing else in our prep, technique, recipes or dough changed...but immediately the launch went as it should. Adding a turning peel was another game changer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great for launching pizza in. We are still learning and still have some sticking of dough in the peel but we've learned you need a lot of flour sprinkled on the bottom of the dough and on the peel for the best result. Very light weight.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As advertised - the perforations DO make a difference. I end up with a lot less flour burning on the stone. It's worth having it specifically for a launching peel. I use a separate turning peel as 5is is too big for that function in the Koda 16.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lovely lightweight pizza Padel. Rarely sticks if you use flour and semolina and the holes mean there's not so much it burns.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a pizza peel that worked okay. The difference between that peel and the ooni perforated pizza peel is significant. It does an amazing job releasing the pizzas when I launch them. The ooni peel was worth every penny.
I had a horrible time with this. The flour falls through the grates and the pizza sticks to it way more than the wood ones. I've destroyed a couple of pizzas and had to let them burn off in the oven as a result of this stupid tool. Do not be fooled by pricey crap. Threw it away and never looked back. Perfection ever since.
