WORKS GREAT, PUTS THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF STEAM IN THE AIR ALSO HAS A VAPOR SYSTEM WORKS GREAT WHEN YOU HAVE A STUFFED UP NOSE!!! EASY TO CLEAN AND ITS BIG ENOUGH THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CHANGE IT ALL THE TIME. LOVE IT!
Great humidifier but it is hard to get the absorption sleeve for it. If you don't have the sleeve the humidifier will not work. Finally found a place to get them which was in Canada. took me 3 MONTHS to get them because they were always on back order. I feel if Wal-Mart is going to sell the product then have the accessories to go with it
Wasn't sure which one to buy read some reviews this one seemed good.i say it's awesome, simple to use easy to keep clean and virtually no noise at all.i am considering another one.the only negative and not that bad is depending on how dry your room is, I keep our bedroom at around 70 percent is you will fill the tank about once a day.but it's worth it.our sinuses are so much better, throats aren't as dry, wish I had bought one years ago
so far so good. I use a wood burning stove and the humidifier does increase the humidity in my den.
So far, it works ok, better than the last humidifier I had. It uses up less water yet produces more humidity. Can't account for that but that's how it seems to me. It's called a 2.5-gallon capacity but the tank holds only about seven quarts. They should either change that rating or explain it. I'm satisfied with it.
Heavy minerals in the water in NJ, the minerals collect at the top above the sleeve where it is impossible to clean. If the sleeve had a skirt on the top sounding the top it would work better and would not have minerals building up around the top. Otherwise the machine works well if you do not have heavy minerals in your water. I had to return it.
The product works great when it works. The unit constantly cuts off and the unit registers as if it needs or be refilled with water. As soon as I fill up the tank with water, I have to adjust the unit several times in order for it to come on. In addition, during random times at night it will cut off because it thinks it needs to be refilled with water; the tank will still be more than a half full. Maybe my unit is just defective. I am returning today.
Very very flimsy, handle on water tank broke second day. Bought for my green house so that's ok. Would be very upset if I bought for medical reason. Doesnt stay together. Having to tape tank to other side to make work. Love fact it shuts off when water runs out. So that's a plus.
I had high hopes for this product, so much so that I purchased two. What I liked most about it is the warm mist that it delivered through simple heating of the water. While it worked, I used only distilled water purchased at the store in order to avoid the calcium buildup that is so common in steam humidifiers. It seemed to work well. However, the product had a couple of flaws. There is a switch that is located between the outer housing of the heating unit, and the water reservoir container. The purpose of this switch is that it turns off the unit when the reservoir is removed for refilling. Unfortunately, that swicth was temperamental from day 1, and now it doesn't work at all, i.e., when depressed after returning the reservoir back in the correct position, the unit no longer turns back on. But even when this problem switch would work, there is a design flaw, in that the base of the unit is so flimsy that great care has to be taken when returning the resevoir back to the base to ensure that it seats properly. Even so, the base being so flimsy makes it difficult for the reservoir to activate the above mentioned switch, since the flimsy base allows the heating unit housing and the reservoir container sidewalls to lean away from each other, thereby preventing the switch from being activated. I only got about 2 days use out of this unit before it stopped working. This is not an acceptable standard for a steam humidifier and I hope that walmart stops selling it until the design foaws are corrected.
little packaging. The water container had dried water marks in it. My husband convinced me that maybe they checked it for leaks and thus, it had water spots. I filled it up and plugged it in. The water vapor smelled terrible. I thought maybe it was just the "new" wearing off. I ran it all night on high. It used roughly 3 inches of water over the course of the night. The next day, my husband and I had a cough. I turned it on again that night, the vapor smelled terrible still. Again, it used only about 3 inches of water. I woke up even sicker. I did this for 4 nights. I was feeling so badly and coughing so much that I went to the doctor. I told my doctor about getting a humidifier and my cough coming on. She suggested that I take it apart and check it. I did. The heating element cover was COVERED in mineral build up and MOLD. It had only been ran for 4 nights. There is no way that much mold had grown in 4 nights! Now, I've realized it was used and molded to begin with. I'm sure that is what was causing the terrible stinking vapor and my husband and I to start coughing.
