I have nerve damage from having a tooth pulled so I have constant Phantom tooth pain. Had 2 root canals trying to fix the pain. On a whim I tried the Orajel. My pain instantly went from a solid constant 6 (I have a high pain tolerance) to a 2. I cannot explain what it feels to be almost pain free after 2 years of suffering. I'm hopeful it will continue to keep the pain in check. Obviously I'm a believer in the product and give it a solid high rating of 5. I thought I would go crazy and now I just cannot believe it.
I have braces and the wires like to cut into my gums and it leaves painful holes in my cheeks. I grabbed one of these and applied as directed and I instantly felt relief! I will always recommend Orajel!
My gf just came home with this one we bought 3orajels so far I been in pain for 3days an it really work but it just take so long to work
If you've got a toothache and can't find a dentist for immediate relief, this stuff gets to the pain in record time! Be careful of the different adjectives used on the packages. There is one that says "severe toothache cream" and it contains 20% of the benzocaine which is the active ingredient to stop that toothache. They also have the Orajel toothache cream 4X medicated -which reminded me of the original Superman theme song that says here I come to save the day Oh never mind that was mighty Mouse! But this stuff works and the bottom line is at least temporarily, your pain is gone!
I bought this a couple months ago because i had horrible tooth pain. It worked the first time But every other time ive used it (which is quite alot) it only relieves the pain for about 7-10 minutes. But it didnt relieve the pain totally, i still had pain even though i put it on. Considering this is severe i would think it would help alot longer than that. Slightly dissappointed.
As of lately you guys have decided to switch to a new kind of formula for your gel. well let me just tell you it is absolutely horrible! it gives very little too absolutely no relief; and the few and I mean very few times it does the relief only lasts and meer minute or two. I would advise you switch back to the old formula because that actually did some good. In fact I really wish I had some here now. This after being a long time user of your product has now made me highly suspect of any other Orajel products.
I bought the 4x strength one for a severe toothache that has been making me absolutely miserable. The first time I used it, it numbed the area decently and I slept for the first time in days. Now, every subsequent use, it numbs partially, and only for about five to six minutes before the numbness is gone and the pain is back full force. I wouldn't recommend it if you're in more than mild pain.
I purchased 2 of the triple medicated Orajel (more like a very thick, firm paste) that has done nothing for the pain. I've relied on Orajel most of my adult life, now it looks like I am going to have to find an alternative that actually works for the discomfort & pain. Plus I will be taking the two I just purchased back for a full refund. Totally disappointed.
Purchase to take away pain. I was getting better relief with clove oil. At best dulled the pain, in 20 mins the pain is back. It use to be better yrs ago, formula had to have changed.
Now I generally love the orajel products but this particular item has caused my entire cheek and gums to the size of a half an orange.
