this temperature sensor works as advertised.
i thought the wireless thermometer was easy to program and it keeps good temp and time. thats all i needed. it great
I installed the Oregon Scientific Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer without a hitch. It worked as I expected giving both outdoor and indoor temperatures. It took an overnight for it to sync on to the atomic clock in Boulder, CO. When it synced on to the signal it changed my clock time by two hours (earlier). I could not override the atomic signal manually. It would reset back again to the minus two hours of my local time. Otherwise the product does everything according to specifications.
Important to read the instructions carefully. Many good features but the but unable to pick up atomic clock single. Had to set time manually. The remaining features worked very well.
the inside and outside temperatures are correct (verified by matching to another thermometer). the atomic clock is weird - sometimes it's 3 hours earlier than my time, and sometimes it's 3 hours later, but I didn't buy it to have a clock. Good thermometer for the money.
The transmitter has a very limited range. Very limited.
I had to force the device to find the outside temperature sensor and the atomic clock signal several times. There is a freeze alarm that sounds when outdoor temperature falls (always happens at night) and there doesn't appear to be a way to permanently silence it - or, I haven't figured out how to do this from the destructions yet.
We only got 6 months of use before the outdoor thermometer stopped working. Very difficult to set up, esp. compared to the La Crosse products. We had to throw this one away and buy a La Crosse. Total junk.
item would not keep the time. Had to be reset several times.
