Very pleased with this blender. Especially like having a single on and off switch, rather than a bunch of buttons.
This blender has two great features. First, it has the power to deal with frozen fruit and hence can make a smooth smoothie. Second, its conical design keeps air from being sucked into the smoothie: no more foam. We immediately bought a second one after trying it.
The Oster Beehive Blender is a good value for the price. It blends the fruit perfectly for smoothies. We had a more expensive Ninja and the parts were plastic and cracked, also it didn't blend all the fruit, a disappointment for how expensive it was. I love that the Oster has metal blades and motor parts, also a glass pitcher instead of plastic.
I love my blender. I was looking for a replacement glass jar mines was broken.
If you are going to make smoothies, this is the blender to buy. This blender works awesome for making smoothies. I think it is a bit loud, but then again I haven't had a blender that isn't. The price point is a little higher than other blenders, but it is worth it because it has a 600 watt motor compared to the usual 450. Be advised that it only has two speeds so if you like to have six different buttons to push, try a different model.
My husband and I did a lot of research and Good Housekeeping gave only 2 blenders out of 48 an A+. After having this beehive (which you cannot find on store shelves anywhere) for a few weeks, we LOVE it! We use it a few times a day!
This blender has been a life saver for me. I love the slim design, glass pitcher, and tight fighting lid. It is not a fancy blender with tons of settings, but I have found that it works just fine anyway. Simple is good.
This blender is great for smoothies, it is all metal and glass and very durable. We use it everyday. The only downside is that is if very loud. It is fine for us, since we are both awake when we are using it, but it might be too loud if you have several people in the household.
I use this every day for my spinach smoothies. I bought it after my son broke the jar of my other one. At first, having only a pulse and one speed, having only those 2 options after using one that had about 8 buttons - well I wasn't sure about it. But on this, that's seriously all you need. The pulse does a great job getting things started, and then you just let it blend. Of course, at that point I have to plug my ears. I am a bit sensitive to noise, and that's the only reason I gave this only 4 stars. This Oster is way louder than my old blender. Other reviewers mentioned its loudness, but I didn't get it until I started using mine. Maybe that's because it's way more powerful than my other one, I don't know. My ears may be ringing, but at least my tummy is happy!
Excellent blender for making smoothies and other drinks. Although it may not be the top-rated blender, it cannot be beat in the $60 price category. We also like the classic look of the blender. Simple controls. It works.
