At first I struggled with it, the top kept coming off when I tried to remove the cup it would come apart. I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. The Oster MyBlend® Blend is a good little blender. Definitely telling my friends about Oster MyBlend® Blend

Oster has been my favorite blender for ages. This is in addition to the collection. Crushes ice and makes a fresh smoothie. Love it.
I had similar experiences to most of the other people that left a review. I say quirky as you have to tighten the container firmly, but not so tight you can't unscrew it. You have to line up the arrows,push firmly and rotate it clockwise until it clicks. Yes I have had it not work when it pressed the button and I found myself pushing it down and it works wonderful after.

Also make sure to use plenty of liquid or it won’t work. I love how it becomes your cup so less dishes are needed. The lid works great and is super easy to drink out of or to put a straw in. I definitely recommend this for anyone who loves making their own frappes or smoothies.
Third time using this Oster third time blade has gotten stuck into base
I could not get the bottom out of the base. If it's empty the chopper side will come right out of the base. But when it is full, it will not come out. You can unscrew cup but the chopper stays in base. Very dangerous.
I received the new Oster My Blend for my birthday in January from my daughter. I had my older Oster for years. This new product I have a a couple frustrating issues. One just as the previous review states I too could not get the cylinder out once blended. I had a few catastrophes with that as well. I somehow moved on and having no issues for about a week. At this point it wouldn’t click to the second spot and the motor partially engaged and the plastic pieces on the bottom won’t connect and it was wearing the plastic away. There were particles everywhere.
