My otter Box saved my tablet. I took it ice fishing in 6 degrees. I dropped it on the ice, kicked it, about 10 yards. All covered in snow and not a scratch. I would recommend this to anyone.
I bought this because I have grandkids who use my tablet. Sure enough- the tablet hit the floor the first week -- and came up totally protected! Really glad that I bought my Otterbox Defender.
The case fits my Samsung tablet perfectly. It was very easy to fit to the tablet. The cover doubles as a stand and as a stand is extremely usable with the different stand options. That the cover/stand is removable is excellent. I often have to use my tablet to present information to one or two people at a time. I have found that other wrap around style covers are awkward. When using my tablet for presentations I often leave the cover/stand at home ... confident that my tablet remains well protected. I am thrilled with this case as I am confident it is going to protect my tablet ... theft aside ... from thrills and spills.
As always, Otter box has out done itself. This is my third otter box, two for my phone and this for my tablet. I have always found otter box products to be of the best quality and best use ability. This product provides great protection for your tablet and great visibility when reading on stand in both vertical and horizontal positions.
My family and i have owned tons of OtterBox products over the years for a variety of phones and now tablets. The products are always high quality and super functional. All the features, ports, cameras, etc. are usable and easy to access. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 case provides an added benefit of it providing some traction as the naked device is slippery and hard to grasp and hold. I haven't scheduled any drop testing but based on history with other products I bet it would provide good device protection with some possible cosmetic damage to the OtterBox, better the case than the device.
I like very much otterbox cases. I fist bought the defender case for my Galaxy S4 and now I bought this one for my tab s 10.5. Awesome case, very confortable to hold and my tablet is very well protected.
I bought Defender Series Case for Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 & HTC Desire EYE, and I just love them. Pros: I'm not afraid anymore when my children are playing with the phone or tab, they are very well protected. The fingerprint scanner also works very well with this case. Cons: The integrated screen protector has oil slicks when the display is off, but doesn't show when it's on, so for me doesn't matter.
I have been an Otterbox fan and customer for the past 3 years, and have always enjoyed the protection that these products have provided to my portable devices. It was only natural for me to purchase one for my recent purchase of my Samsung Tablet. Although it removes a lot of the portability of the product, it does protect it and, in a sense, affords a new type of portability to this product, one that is able to go to more places and withstand many more of life's events. I would highly encourage anyone purchasing a tablet (or a smartphone) to look into the different types of Otterbox cases offered for that product.
I really like the case but could not give it 5 stars because I have had to have the case replaced twice so far since I purchased it in March of this year. The part of the case that you can prop the tablet on has 4 clips used to close the case and help keep the tablet standing, well they keep breaking. It is very frustrating and I hope they come up with a better solution than having the tabs. I have added a photo so you can see the problem. I am very careful when separating the case but eventually one or two break off.
I have few Otterbox cases for other appliances and I am very happy with them, so when I bought Galaxy tab 10,5 which I am using when travelling Otterbox was "natural" place to look for it. I must admit I am quite happy with case as it is. It fits well, covers and protects as it should do. But I am very disapointed with cover. After about three months first claw broke off. Cover was still held in place with remaining three claws but it was not so secure. Now after next two months second claw is breaking away (see photos). In my opinion it's either material fault or design fault as in such short time two such things is to much. So other Otterbox cases - probably yes, but not this one especially when you want your screen protected by solid shell, not only film.
