yours is the difference between a protective case and......something much less. You put all others in the shade. Bought the one for my Note 3 last year. Can't remember how many times my phone has hit the ground without damage. Knew this one would be first rate. And it is.
The durability & quality meet my busy lifestyle. Stand feature great for watching videos while traveling.
Love the case and as always with otter box the first thing I do is rip out the screen cover, it just makes the interface glitchy and slow. I'd like the option to not have it installed in the future to save the glue unpicking. The case instills a sense of confidence that my tablet is hardened for anything I could throw at it. Very happy.
Very good product. I am very satisfied with the product. I purchased one for my Tablet and mobile phone. The protective cases has performed to my greatest satisfaction. Pricey but worth it if you care about your devices ability to survive the inevitable hazards encountered by everyday use.
As always, Otter Box has stepped up with a nice looking functional case that has sharp lines and is well constructed. Nothing shoddy about it. If you are looking for absolute peace of mind and protection for your tablet, this is your case!
My favorite thing about my OtterBox (es) but this one in particular is it went up against my F150 and the F150 lost. Yes I left it on the tool box and it slid off into the drive way, and since I did not know I backed up to get something out of the garage and low and behold there under my truck wish my two week old Galaxy Tablet Note 12!!! Well after the shock and tears and rolling on the ground (yes rolling) I went through the motion of using most of my apps and the tears turn to smiles not 1 I repeat no 1 scratch, dent, crack on internal damage what so ever, can say the same for Big Red (F150), you you make Otterbox for trucks, lol? You guys deserve a SALUTE and that is from a Veteran. I cant thank you enough for outstanding products and customer service!!!
The 12.2 defender case offers great protection for your tablet. It would be great if Otterbox would build wireless charging into their covers as this cover adds an additional depth to access the USB 3 charge point. You might find that the back key suffers from the odd double tap requirement. But I'm sure that the peace of mind that the protection gives you, will un-doubtedly make up for the occassional delay.
Impressed at how quickly it was shipped; took 3 working days to get to Australia. The product itself is brilliant and really happy with it. The one flaw it has is that the built in screen protector did not perfectly match up with the screen and left a lot of unsightly bubbles and air gaps. One of the causes was the device sat slightly lower than the height of the protector in some places, especially around the edges. It is also not nearly as sensitive as the other traditional screen protectors. My solution after putting up with that for a while was to remove the Otterbox built in screen protector (unfortunately it adhered to screen protector I had previously applied!). Now that is all sorted I am very happy with the Otterbox and the protection it affords. The design of the stand that can have it fully elevated or partially is excellent for watching a movie whilst travelling. It has full functionality whilst in the case except for being able to swap out the micro SD..... a small and tolerable oversight considering designing that ability into it might possibly compromise protection.
First, I wish there was a not sure option on the recommendation of the product. I can tell it is rugged and durable, which I like, but it is SO HARD to get the little plastic clips that marry the two sides together before the silicone sleeve. Also, because I have a screen protector on under it, the built in screen protector gets tacky and weird. I bought this case for transport and everyday use, but I was hoping it would be easier to disassemble like my G2 case and my previous cases for other phones (I've always gone defender level because I know myself well). I wanted to be able to plug in and do the keyboard thing occasionally, too. I have a hard time doing this and it is kind of annoying and depressing. I've thought about returning it, but I thought/think I'm not able to at this point. I do like the hard plastic stand, because I can clip it on the screen side for extra protection to the screen and less stuff is able to get into the creases of the screen protector on the case. I think it would be cool to have it where the screen protector could be optional and if it was just a bit easier to take off. I've massacred my nails trying to get the silicone sleeve off as well as undoing the plastic portion of the case.
At the time of writing, this case is the best on the market. Unfortunately, it's still not enough. While the Otterbox adds a lot of bulk and weight to the Note 12.2, I don't know just how much protection it ensures. Certainly not enough for me to test it out, so I end up wrapping it in a scarf when I put it in my bag to take to work (landscaping). The screen protector does not seem top-of-the-line: it looks as if it does not make complete contact with the screen. And the most frustrating feature is that I cannot access the microSD slot without removing the case (which is not all that easy to do). All that said, I don't feel like the case has impeded the performance of the Note 12.2.
