I really liked this case. Had a Commuter case for my Samsung Galaxy SIII cell phone, but wanted something slimmer so I could put it in my pocketbook's cell phone holder. Got this to give it a try and unfortunately it didn't work the way I thought it would. So I had to send it back. But I highly recommend all Otter Box products. Perfect in quality and style. However sometimes a little bit too bulky for what I need.
My husband and I are both very active and we have two young children. We are always on the go and didn't want a cover that was too bulky. My phone still slips easily into the slim pocket on the front of my purse but doesn't slip out like it used to. We know we can safely toss them into the gym bag, back pack, pocket or purse with these covers and they will be protected. My husband likes that it still easily fits into his pocket or briefcase without being overly bulky. We are also glad it has protection from drops by us or the kids.
I absolutely love this case! I was initially going to buy the commuter series, but am so glad I opted for this. Yes, it adds a bit bulk, but not as much as the commuter series would have. Though it is one piece, the material is so sturdy and tough. I know others have talked about the buttons not aligning, but mine has been perfect. Also, it requires a slightly harder press for the power and volume buttons, but it really is no big deal. The phone is in my bag the most, so that works great for me. The color is fabulous as well!
I love this case for my GS3, it was an ideal buy for me. I don't like how bulky the other cases are and quite frankly i don't care about cracking my phone screen, but this case provides me with the best of both worlds for protection. I can drop it on the phone screen side knowing the screen won't be effected by the drop. The only things I don't like about the case it removing the phone is a pain, putting the phone in the case is a pain, putting in and taking the phone out of your pockets isn't very ideal (however no one is going to pick pocket you with this thing) and the case also messes with my Google Maps GPS on my phone and doesn't allow the app to work correctly.
These make me feel like my phone is protected. Easy to get on. Although I had never put on a screen protector before so I had to YouTube it to make sure I was doing it correctly.
This is my third Otterbox case that I have owned. I had purchased my second one which was an earlier version of this when I first got my SIII in January 2012. And it worked really well for protecting my phone. In August I noticed that the interior plastic of the old one had started to crack and the silicone was not holding my phone as snugly. I called Otterbox and they were quick to get me a new one. The newest version of the Commuter has a better grip to it and I can honestly say that I have never had a phone this long that hasn't received some sort of cosmetic damage to it. I trust that the Otterbox will protect my phone when I drop it. My screen is perfect. My phone is perfect. Otterbox truly is the best. I recommend it highly!
Maybe I did not read the directions close enough ,because I have a screen with lots of air bubbles with specs of dust or dirt in the middle of the air bubbles.Probably my fault for not paying close attention to the installation instructions or the instructions pictorals not sufficient.
The case is great. It's very simple to use and offers excellent protection. However, the screen protector is awful. The sticky tab on the front side absolutely would not peel off, and it left an unsightly sticky mess, which I finally got rid of by using W-D 40. It's got bubbles all over the place and makes my phone look cheap and tacky. My product rating doesn't reflect this glitch, since the case itself is a good value for great protection. By the way, the sticky tab on the screen surface side peeled off perfectly, so I know it can be done. Also, I wish I had ordered the black rather than the purple, which is a little bit too grape looking.
It is a great item and since I got 2 for $25 on black Friday it was a steal. So far no problems. I am a little nervous because I know the defender incases the whole phone, but I have been lucky. No problems the case is hard and durable and appears capable of protecting the phone
This case is a good one to start off with. How ever it is not like rest of the otter box ones that I have seen before. It is not completely enclosed so there for it is not water proof and only have a screen protector that comes with it so it can still crack the screen if hit just right. I would recommend if not going to be out in the weather or close to water. Case does have a good grip so it does not slide every where when it is set down.
