I really appreciate having this great lamp on my bedside table. It is especially helpful for late night knitting. It is easy to work and I like the smooth, contemporary design.
I have this placed on my nightstand, and it works perfectly. The base is heavy enough that my cat cannot tip it off nightstand. The different levels of brightness is very useful, as well as being able to bend the arm to shine exactly where I want more light.
I highly recommend this light for all your crafting needs and no -crafting also.
I'm an artist, and this light allows me to accurately assess value ranges in my still life sketches with black graphite pencils. I love the 4 levels of light, and also how the neck twists so I can aim the light where I want it. It's the perfect light for me!
This lamp is excellent for good illumination on my sewing desk, very flexible, and nice to have the variable brightness. The only thing I'd wish for is a slightly warmer temperature light -- the light does seem quite "cool" and harsh. I realize it's meant to be "daylight" spectrum, but a slightly softer or warmer tone would be easier on the eyes. Not a serious drawback, just a personal preference.
We have 3 Creative Curves Desk lamps and one standing Ottlite and we love them. I have Macular Degeneration and these lights are the best for me to see with. If you have MD be sure and get the Creative Curves because they have 4 light settings (I use the highest lighting level). Ottlite also sells desk lamps w/ a magnifier.

Bought this light on my wife's recommendation -- she has an Ott Lite for sewing. I wanted something for reading both text and music, and the light works well for both. The flexible neck lets me focus the light directly on the music, which is very helpful.
Perfect lighting for knitting, reading and sewing.
This has made crafting and quilting sew much easier! (see what I did there) Bright, adjustable and easy to move.
