Got these forks as my family is always snacking and I hate the kids leaving dirty dishes. I also do not like to being wasteful and having the kids throw away things unnecessarily. I also needed forks that do not break when you poke your food and end up snapping the tines. These fit the bill and are fantastic. They are extremely flexible and can be used for not only snacking but for harder foods as well. They can also be washed and used a second time. You do not need to feel guilty as they are compostable.
I got the spoons and I was pleased with the lm, so got the forks. It's certified as home compostable. These are strong and feel just like regular plastic forks. Would definitely buy again. Feels better to use these than to throw plastic forks in the trash.
I would have never guessed these forks were compostable and made from plant fibers. They really are sturdy, good regular sized forks. No difference in quality. If anything I think these are actually sturdier than regular plastic forks and why not try to help out the earth as well. Box comes with 24.
Makes perfect sense to have these if you have little ones. They are soft and not hard like the ones we had growing up. Good for the environment and looks great too. Love all the great value products and this is one of them. Perfect for indoors and outdoors.
We used these over the weekend for our neighborhood taco night. They work like a fork should. Held up well to some very meaty dishes with tons of toppings. I like that the forks are a normal size and a good thickness, so the prongs don't break off when you stick your fork in the food to get a bite.
Super cool that these are partly made from plants! Good to know we are help save the earth by doing our part. Sturdier than regular plastic forks by far!! None of the fork ever breaks off while eating or picking up food. Neutral color if that matters to you. I almost feel bad throwing them away after using them because they are so sturdy you can use them many times if you had to.
These compostable forks are awesome! I absolutely love that I can compost them in my garden bin when I'm done using them. They are BPA free too which is really important to me. They are sturdy and work very well. They're made of plant fibers which is fantastic too! 24 forks come in the box. I tried them out and will definitely be buying more. I am always looking for compostable products and am so happy with these forks!
I am so happy to know more and more companies are coming out with eco-friendly products and am especially thrilled to see Great Value doing the same. With so much in the news about weather and temperature extremes caused by global warming, I want to see people and companies do more in preserving our environment and planet Earth. So, I got the Great Value compostable forks. You would never know the difference between these eco-friendly forks compared to the regular plastic, Earth-damaging forks. They are sturdy with a bit of a flex to them so they do not snap or break easily unlike the crunchy plastic ones. In fact, these forks can be tossed into your home compost bin. Voila, biodegrades in no time! They are 100% made from natural plant fibers. In fact, the box these forks come in is made with a minimum of 25% post-consumer recycled material. How cool is that? I have been washing these forks and reusing them and they have held up for a couple of weeks with no breakage or disintegration. I am very impress and highly recommend that all the big commercial fast food chains use eco-friendly utensils like the Great Value compostable forks. We need to work together to love our planet Earth and all the beautiful nature she provides.
I used these forks while eating with a gathering of friends. They were sturdy enough for potato salad and fixings like that. They were even good with regular salad, like lettuce and veggies. I tried to experiment with the compostable aspect by placing a fork in water to see if there would be any breakdown but there wasn't after about 2 weeks. One can only hope that this product will actually deliver what it says it will and others will follow.
The Great Value Disposable Compostable Forks, Beige, 24 Count are strong and durable. I have never found plastic utensils that were as strong as these. I have used them on hard food, such as waffles, hard boiled eggs, and sausages. Last night my son and I used them to eat Italian sausages and saucy spaghetti. Unlike the cheaper version of plastic forks out there, these forks hold and pick up pasta well. No breakage of any of the forks while eating different textures of meals thus far. The forks are durable when it comes to hot temperatures as well. The pasta was extremely hot to the touch and the fork did not melt or change in strength whatsoever. The forks are a very nice size and are thick.
