This is an awesome product to keep the training pads in one place. I did however snap one of the locking devices that holds the pad down, so I would recommend caution with those, if it doesn't lock - DON"T FORCE IT! Help to keep puppies from shredding the pads too.
This was exactly what I was expecting. It is sturdy and durable. My dogs weren't bothered by the addition of it. It is worth the cost as it holds the pads in place and prevents the overspills. It does néed to be wiped occasionally if your dog uses the outside of the pad.
I wasn't sure that I really needed the holder for the potty pads - I'd known people to just put the pad down by itself. Oh My Gosh! It is wonderful. It holds the pad in place and keeps it from getting scrunched up, torn up as easily, etc. It is so easy to flip the two side locks up, remove the top frame, change the pad and put it back together! I love this thing!
I have mischievious Chihuahua puppies that would shred their puppy pads into tiny pieces almost every day. I tried bricks, rocks, finally broke down and got a puppy pad holder. They chew on the edges of the pads but I can actually leave them in there until they get used now. It's an investment that has saved me a lot of money.
Have only had my new chihuahua less than a week. My Mother-in-Law told me about this product so I gave it a try. Joey used it right away and only uses this holder with the pad. My carpets are saved! Love that it holds the pad in place without any edges so he can't get a hold of it and tear it up. Love the price as well. Give it a try - you won't be sorry.
When we decided to do paper training with our puppy, I laid out the pads and folded them over on soiled parts to make them last longer rather than throwing the whole pad away for every soil. Worked fine for a couple of weeks until puppy started chewing and tearing the pads! This holder solved that problem super easily. No more playing with pads, puppy goes in right place, everyone's happy! GREAT price, happy customer.
If you are trying to train ur pet in the house, etc. and u r using the pads...YOU NEED this product. A good point to remember, is to cut the access around the pad OR ur pet will eat the edges!
This actually works. My puppy would use the pad and then would rip it into pieces, not anymore. This holder holds the pad in place until I remove it to add another one. Pads fit perfectly..LOVE IT
THE PAD HOLDER FOR THE PAD IS A GREAT IDEA BUT HOW DO YOU TRAIN THE DOG TO USE IT. WE HAVE HAD IT OUT SINCE WE GOT IT AND THOUGHT IT WOULD BE WONDERFUL BUT IT SEEMS TO ME THE PADS SHOULD HAVE AN ODOR TO IT THAT WOULD MAKE HIM WANT TO USE IT SO FAR WE HAVE HAD NO RESULTS, IT WOULD BE WONDERFUL IF YOU COULD GET HIM TO USE IT! WE HAVE HAD IT OUT FOR HIM FOR 3 WEEKS AND SO FAR NO LUCK WITH HIM USING IT! SONNY IS VERY SMART & HAS LEARNED TO DO MANY NEW THINGS AT THE AGE OF 12 BUT HAS NOT USED THE PAD YET, THERE NEEDS TO BE SOMETHING THAT WOULD MAKE HIM GET ON THE OUT PUPPY PAD IT WOULD BE GREAT IN BAD WEATHER!
I am not happy with this product. The sides that flip up and click into place to hold the top down have little plastic tabs that broke the second day. My puppy pulls the pad out and rips it up on a daily basis.......if it snapped down all the way around it would be much more functional and secure. I would recommend you search for a different brand and do your research on these products. This one is not a value because it was not built/designed well.
