I like this spacesaver...my only complaint is it had a weird glue smell for about a week after we opened it and put it together. But it's fading now and I love the clean natural look of it.
Took a long time getting it out of the box...it is packed full. Easy to put together (except the back boards (there are 2) and stand up. The back boards are put on with the tiniest nails I've ever seen...just keep working at them...it's worth the effort!
I was worried when this package arrived. It was long and heavy.I just knew that I was in trouble if what was in the box was in a million pieces of heavy boards and it was just me to put it together. I asked a girl friend to come over and help. Well the day came and we opened the box and I was almost correct,it looked like a million pieces. But, it wasn't. We sorted out the boards, doors and other pieces according to the instructions. We read the instructions a couple of time just to make sure we had every thing, then we went to work. Every thing went together real easy.We made one mistake and got the sides of bottom turned wrong.Once we realized that and corrected it every thing went smoothly. It only took us about one and half hours and if we had not made that one mistake I believe we could have done it in an hour, assembly that is. We probably spent another forty-five minutes checking and rechecking the materials and the instructions. But, that we our fault. There is one item that was a little harder to assemble than any other. The rail that has to go behind the commode and under the water line. That piece has to be applied at the commode,no way around it. Anyone else, their commode may sit differently than mine does. So,it may not pose a problem to any one. Don't let this be a deal breaker because it is worth and problem you may have. It is really pretty piece of furniture and matching the bathroom stand that was already in the bathroom. I had looked for a long time to find this wood color and I'm very glade I purchased this one. If two women could put this together then any could manage to assemble it.It looks just like the picture.
This is a nice piece of furniture that isn't too expensive. We have a small bathroom with just enough room for the sink, bathtub and toilet and we needed extra storage space. It blended nicely with the oak under-sink cabinet and doesn't look out of place like some of the others would: espresso was too dark and there's no white in the room. The metal ones only have shelves, no cabinet. It took a little bit of time, but assembly wasn't hard. All in all, a good-looking piece at a good price.
There is a lot of assembly required with this, but it is totally worth it considering the quality of the material. The parts list and instructions are very simple and easy to follow. The directions suggest that you have two people put it together, probably because it comes about 90% unassembled. I managed to put it together by myself with out much difficulty at all, but I am very patient and I followed the instructions to the letter. It feels pretty sturdy once it is attached to the wall too. I love that it is actually made of solid wood(Bamboo) and not particle board like the majority of everything else that is available. I am very happy with it and would purchase it again if I needed to.
The Bamboo space saver looks great and functions well. Set up takes time especially if you do it by yourself. It took me 2 hrs on my own. I found that if you over tighten the screws the wood will split. Some of the wood came splinterd but it was very minor. You need to provide your own screw driver as one was not included. Over all I am very satisfied and would recommend it. It does come in a 2 part assembly however when assembling the first part you must make sure you bring it to the toilet before it is complete otherwise you will have to disassemble it in order to make it fit and then re-assemble it. Then you can attach the second half. Delivery came early which worked out well for me.
Based on remarks I read, I let the box sit for a week. Later, I was pleasantly surprised at how good the instructions were. Also, the allen wrench was included in the box and all parts were there. This is so much nicer than my old metal one because I can hide bathroom items I don't want everyone to see.
Exactly as it was pictured, easy to put together and not a hassle to install. Fits perfectly in the space. The only drawback (and it is not much of a problem.) are the doors. They don't have a handle and so it is a little difficult to open and close them, They seem to hitch when they are slid open or closed. Other than that, it looks great and has really good spaced shelves inside and out. A great organizer of all my bathroom products.
The gaping screw head holes in the wood distract from its appearance. Normally these holes are covered by manufacturers of other furniture with "wooden plugs". Could these be made available?
This looks nice, the wood is a nice quality. Instructions were good, except for the back rail issue. Put it on last, if the space is tight this is not easy. I left it off and screwed the unit into the wall. The doors do not fit well in the grooves. They jam and you have to lift them up to get the doors to open and close. That was really disappointing. If this wasn't so difficult to repackage and transport I would send it back. It wound up in the guest bathroom as those poorly functioning doors would drive me nuts everyday.
