Very easy to set up with an HDMI cable to any flat screen TV. Lightweight and easy to move from room to room if needed. This is a high quality blu-ray player. Very impressed with the picture quality. Comes with a remote control for easy navigation. Highly recommended blu-ray player!
The Panasonic 4K Blu Ray Player is about as basic as you can get as far as 4K Blu Ray players go. There are no Wi-Fi connections and only one HDMI output. There is a USB port that I can use to view photos and play music. However, in this case basic does not at all mean inferior. I have it connected to my UHD smart ELED tv and both the picture quality and the sound quality are amazing. Disc play back is seamless. This player plays both standard Blu Ray discs as well as 4K Blu Ray discs. When I play my 4K Blu Rays, some make you feel like you're right there in the scene, rather than watching it on tv. One of the bonuses of it being basic is that it's easy to use. The remote is basic and simple. Set up is simple, but you'll need to use your own HDMI cord as this player doesn't include one. My only complaint is that it's rather noisy during operation. Overall, it works great and has exceeded my expectations for both picture and sound.
So far so good! I have not had any problems with it. And i really like that it connects to my projector. I didnt like always having to pay to rent movies, so now i can just borrow them from my library and watch them for free on my DVD player. The DVD player is also very lightweight so it is easy to move about. I also liked that the DVD player remote came with batteries included. A rare, but appreciated courtesy. I will note, however, that if you do not have an HDMI or LAN adapter you will need to buy one because that is all that this DVD player can connect to.
Our camper/rv tv is very basic so I decided to try out this blu ray player in hopes of getting a more enjoyable movie experience while we're camping. Wow! It has made such an improvement. Most of the dvds I've bought have come with the blu ray disc also but I've never had anything to play them on until now. I was worried it wouldn't play my kid's movies that are on basic dvds but it does! Very happy I got this blu ray player.
We don't typically use DVD players much anymore; most of our media is digital. However, our little daughter LOVES her vintage movie collection and many of them can't be bought digitally, so we were in need…This is a Blu-Ray player, so it plays Blu-Ray and regular DVD's. We used an HDMI cable (not provided) to hook it up to our daughters Roku TV. The picture is great, and it's easy to switch from DVD TO TV with just one cable. Huge plus!!! I would recommend!!!!

This Panasonic Blu-ray disc player is easy to put together. Works great beautiful picture. 4K HDR ultra HD Blu-ray. Hi-Res audio. The batteries for the remote control are included. The remote control is easy to understand fit comfortably in your hand. I am so happy to have this.

I have been using this Panasonic Blu-ray player for almost two weeks now and I really like it! I really appreciate the simplicity of it, and ease of use. I like that it is sleek, black and modern looking and doesn't take up much space on our entertainment center as well. I was super easy to hook up and use. I don't normally hook up the electronics in the house and I was able to have it up and working in less than 2 minutes. It did require an HDMI cable, which is not included but thankfully we already had one, so no big deal. The user interface is also very simple to use as well. It's basic, but it has all the features for my needs. Not only are we able to watch our blu-rays but I like that we can watch dvds and hook up our hard drive that has pictures and videos saved from our phones. As far as video quality and sound quality it's perfect, no complaints. Very high quality and crisp. The only things I don't like about this player is that the open/close and power buttons are on the top of it instead of the front. We usually stack our electronics on the entertainment center so I don't care for the placement of the buttons. Lastly, it does have Internet capabilities for firmware updates and for up to date blu ray commercials but it requires an Ethernet cable. Which is yet another cable to add behind the tv. I do wish it were wifi instead. Overall though, I'm really satisfied with this and I don't have any major complaints!
Walmart claims multiple times (see attached images) that this Panasonic DP-UB150 has their HDR Optimizer -- but it does not! After I received the unit, I realized the owners manual never mentions the HDR optimizer. I confirmed the owners manual for Panasonic's DP-UB420 does mention the HDR Optimizer as does the box for this other model. The box for the DP-UB150 doesn't -- so it is clear to me now that this model is being falsely advertised. I am not happy about being misled!
