i have had this shaver for a few weeks now but have only used it about 5 times. i let my stubble grow 2 or 3 days before i shave and this shaver works great on my beard. i can grow a full beard but my hairs are brown...my roomate used it and he has a very thick black beard and it did not get that close for his needs. but for a person who can't grow a black beard in about 10 mins, i think this shaver is great. i thought it was too big when i first recieved it but after taking it out and using it...it is very light and not too noisy. very easy to clean. charges in about an hr. holds the charge fairly well. my only hang up is you can't use it while it's plugged in...but that is not a big issue. i would buy it again.
Had to purchase a new shaver for the husband because his old one broke. He's not a fan of shaving daily, but a new job requires him to be more clean shaven. He tried this shaver and just raved about it. He said it didn't pull or tug and it does give a really smooth shave. He's got a really tough coarse beard that grows quickly and it really did a good job. He also said it's also comfortable and easy to handle.
This is my third Panasonic shaver and the best one by far. As with most Panasonic products, the quality is superior. Close, smooth, comfortable shaves with maximum use between recharges.
I have always been a Remington guy, so to buy a Panasonic was a step of faith. The first thing I noticed was how quiet it is. The second was how quickly I'm able to get a good shave. I also like the small carrying pouch...it fits in my toilet kit nicely. Overall, a nice step up from my Remington Titanium.
This is a replacement for an older Panasonic. Although I liked the old one, this new one is much improved in one area, the battery. The battery life is great. I can get almost 2 weeks of daily use with this new one. The shave quality is very high. The razor itself is comfortable to hold and use.
After having wasted money on other supposedly wet/dry electric shavers I have finally found a true value for the money!!! I had purchased a Panasonic ES-8066 about fifteen years ago and although it still works great I thought I should maybe purchase a replacement just in case the ES-8066 gave up the ghost. (Hasn't happened yet and I still use it about three times a week.) i had shopped on Ebay as well as on other sites and just wasn't finding what I wanted for the price I could afford. During a Google search I was directed to Amazon.com where I found an Optimus electric shaver that was supposed to be "wet/dry" only to find it was NOT. It could be 'rinsed' clean but was not intended for use in the shower which I wanted to be able to do. The Optimus also was very 'face unfriendly' in that it 'grabbed and pulled' instead of cutting cleanly. The shave was also quite lacking in smoothness and comfort. Aboout $40 down the drain! I again went to Google and was directed to WalMart where I purchased this shaver. WOW!!! WHAT A NICE AND EASY ON THE FACE SHAVE! Truly a wet/dry shaver that lives up to the promise of a good shave in or out of the shower. Money well spent and a price I could afford. Site-to-store shipping was very easy to use and as usual the WalMart team did their jobs very well!!
This one works for me. Does a great job with the bristly areas on my chin and under my nose as well as the fuzzy areas on the sides of my neck.
My hubby and I use this and it does a great job. It has been my experiance that men's electric shaver's provide the closest shave possible so I purchased this primarily for me to shave my legs. It holds a charge long enough for me to shave my legs at least 3-4 times. In my opinion it gives the closest shave you can get, even with the dry option. I use to buy the venus refills and it was getting too expensive. This not only saves me time but also a lot of money. I am very happy with it.
I've used Braun shavers for many many years but decided to try this Panasonic. It shaves rings around the Brauns. It uses a higher speed motor, the head flexes, and it's very easy to clean with plain water. I have a heavy beard and it works like a champ even on a three day growth. I liked it so much I bought a second. The manual even tells you how to change the batteries when they wear out and no longer hold a charge. Braun never did that.
I am looking for a shaver to replace my Remington MS2-390. The Panasonic seems to be a quality machine, it looks good, is quiet and is easy to clean. But, it does not shave as close as the Remington. It does have a third slotted head that catches the longer hairs, which is the only problem i have with the Remington. I tried the Panasonic for a month, but I had to work harder and longer with it and still did not get as close a shave. I did not use it wet. The charge lasted me about 10 shaves which also is only a little more than half what I get with the Remington. I took it back and am still looking.
