I would rate this set 5 stars! Its wonderful. On the back of the case it tells you how to use everything and it was very very VERY helpful... 100% RECOMMENDED
I got the product with my mom one day about a year ago I was just starting to use make up. And if anyone is like me I had no clue what the diff types of brushes ment or how they are to be used. What is so great about the product is that for a first timer like myself. On the back of the case it has all the brushes pics and labled and also how to use them I was like GREAT!! this is the product for me and it was well worth my money. for someone who has a small allowence! lol :) the only down side about this product is that when you open it up the case folds down ward to hold it up so the mirrior is facing down ward which is ok since i have a bathroom mirror to use. anyway I would totally recamend this to first timers like myself :P :)
I like it! whenever I want to put makeup on, I dont have to dig in my bag and find it, Its all in one glass box!I had it for a couple of months and i cant even close it anymore! everytime i attempt to, it will still open a little.
I purchased this product over a year ago for around $11 or $12, and I still use it today. Be aware, you're not getting 11 brushes, but nine brushes plus a mirror and a case. It's perfect for beginners who are experimenting with makeup. If you can't afford the expensive price of higher end products that do basically the same thing, this kit is for you. Powder brush: I don't really use the powder brush all that often, but when I do, it doesn't really work. Unless you put a ton of powder onto the brush, it doesn't make a difference. It just gets the powder deep inside the bristles and will only come out after vigorous washing. I don't use it often, so this isn't really a problem for me. But if you use powder brushes often, I recommend using a different brush. But the good thing is the bristles are soft. Blush brush: Same as above, really. Blending brush: I love this brush. It blends colors very, very well. This is one of my favorite brushes out of the whole kit. The bristles are soft, too. Shadow brush: I love this brush as well. I usually use it to define the hollows of my eyes, and an all-over application. Another one of my favorites. Sponge applicator: I threw mine out, as I never use sponge applicators. Sponge applicators don't really show the true color and quality of shadows, and they seem to absorb the pigment, rather than apply it to your eyelids. So I can't really review on this particular brush. Eyeliner brush: The bristles are pretty hard, and I don't use this particular brush all that much. I tried to line my eyes by wetting the brush down with some water and using eye shadow. Well, most of the product stuck to the brush rather than my eyelids, but that could possibly be faulty of the eye shadow. So I would probably recommend a gel liner for this type of brush. Brow brush: Perfect for highlighting the brow and applying makeup underneath the lower lash line. It is also good for adding color to the inner corner of the eyes to make your eyes brighter and pop. A favorite that I use every time I put makeup on. Lash and brow groomer: This is a really good piece of the kit. Unfortunately, I have misplaced mine. It worked perfectly for making the brows neater and for tidying up those clumpy lashes. Use brow gel (or even use hair gel like I did) to make the brows much neater. Lip brush: I normally don't wear any lip gloss or lip stick, but when I do this brush isn't that bad. I sometimes even use it as an eyeliner brush. Mirror: well, it's like every other mirror. But beware; the mirror is glued onto some metal things, which are glued on the case. I dropped the case once and the mirror fell off. Case: I loved how the case worked before I broke it. When you open it, the brushes stick out; ready to use. Since I've dropped it, the holders fall down and so I have to flip through them to get the right brush. The case is made out of cheap plastic, nothing special. Packaging: the brushes come with a plastic cover on them to keep the brushes neat and clean. Overall: It get's the job done in the end. This obviously isn't MAC quality. If you just dabble into makeup a little bit, and you're not a professional; then this kit is worth your money. Even though I don't use half that kit, I would still recommend it. It's cheaper this way rather than paying $4 for just the one brush. The brushes are soft, too. Except for the eyeliner and sponge applicator. Would I buy this product again? No, because these brushes are still in pretty good condition after 1+ year of pretty constant use, even though I rarely clean them.
This brush set is o.k. they are good but compared to the ecotools brushes that are the same price they are a bit scratchy. I still use these though. WARNING!! They are travel sized so you cant get that much control. I use these as backup brushes or travel brushes. Otherwise I use my Ecotools brushes. If you want these brushes just go and spend the extra 50 cents and buy the Ecotools brushes.
I'm very picky on my makeup brushes.. and this by far I hate the most. I needed 4 makeup brushes, and this set had it all and if I bought them individually it would have costed me more money, so I settled which I wish I didn't. The eyeshadow brush hurts and barely holds the eyeshadow. The other brushes are not great.. they have just done terrible with this.. the only brush I really like is the blush brush. Will not buy again.
