Very easy to assemble. Everything you need. High quality.
We love this set. Net, poles and guy-lines are all in one piece, and the tension rings make set-up simple and quick. The carrying bag holds the whole set, plus our extra raquets and shuttlecocks. Especially like the sleeve for the guy-lines, so everything stays neat and tidy, while it's set-up and when it's put away.
This is a great badminton kit. Everything needed for a bracing bout of doubles badminton is in the bag. Add four lively humans and a hammer (or thick soled shoe) for pounding in the anchor stakes and happiness ensues. I found all parts to be well made and the rackets to be solid and tightly strung. I like that the posts have a large plastic cap on the bottom ensuring that they don't cut into the ground and take the net out of level. I am very pleased with this purchase.
Very satisfied with the quality of construction and ease of set-up, even has nicely made storage bags and a line (with stakes and alignment marks) to show court boundaries. Very helpful and courteous personnel at Hayneedle. Only problem, Fed Ex screwed up delivery.
After years of buying a new badminton set every summer, my husband instructed me to find a 'quality' set. I was able to find a discounted price at Walmart and we've used it a couple times and so far so good! It was very easy to setup and I'm pretty sure we will have it for many years to come. Rackets and net are very good quality!
We bought this for our 13-year-old neighbor for fun this summer. This is a quality set at a reasonable price. He set up the net himself which indicates the ease of set up. The rackets are well made and well balanced. The shuttlecocks are durable and balanced as well. We are having a wonderful time with the set, and , for us, it is after 50 years of non-play. Good exercise, great for seniors (with the usual caveats for health issues), a source of great fun with a truly quality product. We were proud to give this as a gift.
Playing badminton outdoors is tricky: you have to contend with wind, uneven ground and, normally, substandard nets and equipment. What are those who love playing badminton to do? Well, you could do worse than to buy one of these sets. Unlike most badminton sets, the Park and Sun one has sturdy metal standards and a decent net. The stakes, alas, are plastic and will eventually need to be replaced with metal (camping) ones, but that is not a big deal. The set comes with bright yellow rope lines (wish they were flat nylon ones--less likely for players to trip over those, but these are ok). On the downside, my set came with a broken plastic container of three shuttlecocks; and the plastic shuttlecock tails were squashed, leaving them virtually unplayable. Park and Sun needs to do a better job packing these. The four rackets are lightweight and not bad for a set, but any semi-serious badminton player will want to get their own rackets. Overall, the set is worthwhile.
The rackets are not up to the standard. They are made up of alimunium rather than carbon fiber. Nets are of average quality as well. The net, stands and fastners are good value for money though.
The rackets are scratched and missing paint due to the way they were put in the box with no protection to keep them from rubbing together during shipping. Also the set was supposed come with ABS stakes for the net but they are simple metal stakes. I would have returned the set, but I did not open it until a couple days prior to needing it for a family get together. It does seem to be holding up well, but really not that great for the price.
Bought this badminton set based on extensive Internet searches. Appeared to be the best available set under $150. However, raquets and birds were not the same high quality as net assembly. Would advise purchasing a net assemby from Park & Sun, but getting the raquets and birds elsewhere.
