I had searched for a portable fire pit to use for a family campout adventure in our back yard. The local big box stores had some with some of the same features, but the difference in quality of the metal itself was striking. I checked ship weights and yours was 15 lbs heavier, so I knew I was buying quality. Shipping was as quoted, all in all it got here when promised, has performed well, and we couldn't be happier!
Delivery was awesome. The heavy duty construction is excellent. I really like that the purchase included the heavy duty grill and poker, and the heavy duty cover. I haven't had a chance to fire it up, but I plan to use it on my covered patio. My husband will provide wood cut to fit perfectly. This is a very cool firepit. No assembly required.
I opened the box last night and was so happy - my other pits are nowhere near as nice and almost as much money. It is sturdy, comes with a grill, screen, poker and nice cover, all of which are very well made and look great! Can't wait for it to stop raining so I can use it! ps. It come preassembled so it is ready to go out of the box :)
Solid construction - definitely built to last many years - best firepit we have ever owned. Would not hesitate to recommend this to family and friends.
I didn't think it would be this good. I have another pit (star and moon) that I bought at[...]hardware for[$] and it is already worthless after 1 year. Researched the Patina Products models and I am telling you, you get what you pay for. I highly recommend the Patina pit. My wife loves bears and you don't have to put this thing together...
After weeks of research and 100's of reviews read, I decided to pull the trigger on this firepit. After 4 fires, I dont think I could have made a better purchase. Not only does it looks great (totally rustic and rugged) but it works even better. The cutouts in the side make for great airflow and getting a fire raging is a breeze. As far as quality/durability, this pit is built like a tank. Super sturdy and built to last (I did put sand in the bottom of the pit to prolong its life as suggested on this site). The extras (spark arrester, poker and cover) also work exactly as advertised. DO NOT DESITATE TO PULL THE TRIGGER ON THIS PIT!!! IT WONT DISSAPOINT!
Our family has used this fire pit twice and we really like it. We actually had a Friday night that didn't involve TV watching. The fire pit is very sturdy and arrived quickly. It sits level and does not wobble. It does get a fairly rusty patina if it gets wet. We left ours uncovered to let it cool down, and it rained that night. I think a rub down with fine steel wool will take care of it. But the manufacturer is pretty straight forward about this. We have ours sitting on three ceramic tiles to prevent rust stains on the patio. The cover that comes with it is also very high quality. So glad we didn't buy the one we were looking at from a big box hardware store.
This Bear and Tree firpit adds great warmth, style and entertainment to our outdoor living. Its sturdy construction and unique design is a real crowd pleaser. Totally met and exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend...
Used it this weekend for first time. Very well built and it will not cheapen on you like some of the other lower grade fabrications. Only negative is getting the grill on and off to load on more wood. Buy a good welder's glove to handle the hot grill. I painted the fire poker red so you can easily see it in the grass.
Bought the pit as a Christmas gift. So we have used it about three times. It is really beautiful when the fire is going. It arrived very promptly for a gift. The accessories that came with it were nice. I didn't have to go out & find them.
