I had this old outdoor pot that was chipped and boring, I used the stone spray and now the pot looks awesome! The paint is expensive, but if you prime the piece first, then you won't use as much stone spray. I highly recommend this paint!
The color is almost like speckled egg!
I had read that people used this to change ugly old countertops into nicer ones. I figured I had nothing to lose so tried it on a small countertop I had. Primed first then made several coats until I liked the look. Shook the can regularly to keep the solored strand effect even. Once dry I put 3 coats of polyurethane smi gloss over it! Amazing look and I love it!!!!
Have been changing things up and used this on 2 ugly and messed up cabinets, they look great. My husband was not into the idea but came back told me how good they. I then moved on to a layered plant stand that needed help and again I was not disappointed. Just painting something can make all the difference in the world.
This was perfect for the project I did ! It's so beautiful
The stuff works great your first two or three seconds is just clear stuff so sprayed on cardboard before you start. Once you get a pattern coming out goes on easy stays on. The texture is what I like to. It feels like real stone grit although I wouldn't use it for a bedliner it works great for crafts statuary for around the yard.
The effect is great! Made a garage sale garden statue look like it was made of stone! However, make sure there is NO rain in the forecast for at least 4 or 5 days! I had the statue looking like authentic stone but it was going to rain overnight so even though it was dry to the touch, I covered it with a plastic bag just to be safe. A few days later it rained again, but I thought for sure it would be safe! Nope! The rain washed the stone away from the front of the cuddling cherubs! Just the front washed off! Yikes! Do-overs! I haven't re-stoned it yet. I'm waiting to be sure there will be no rain for over a week! This is the Midwest, so dry and drought stretches aren't unusual.
This spray seems less effective than from a few years ago... the color was not tan/taupe-- it was gray and the coverage was weak/ light. I was upset that I paid for this expensive crap... :(
Curbside puck up trash. They put this in my trunk like this. And have the nerves to tell me to drive it back to the store for refund.
The paint never dried I had to scrape all the wet paint. Wipe it all down and do it with other paint.
