Had been buying Kaytee blocks from Amazon, but for some reason they have now tripled in price. Switched to these blocks, and the woodpeckers really like them. Although the squirrels do as well, so have to keep them off the block. Def recommend.
This was easy to hang. Just slide the little plastic hole into a normal sized hook. You'll need to tie it with something (like twine) if you want to hang it on a shepard's crook. Within less than 24 hours, I had a handful of the little Downy Woodpeckers perched on this thing snacking away. They are gorgeous little beasts. Funny and cute! They managed to polish this thing off within less than two weeks, so I think it's worth the expense, even if it's a touch on the pricey side for bird seed. I hope all my birding brothers and sisters are doing well and seeing plenty of these beasts in action :-D
Did shopping on the wall mart app and was absolutely pleasantly surprised...my order was ready within four hours to pick up...what they didn't have in stock then was delivered to my door the next day, for no charge...very impressive...I will absolutely shop this way from now on...its absolutely so convenient...
The birds, enjoy these a lot… But maybe not shipping them in a plastic bag next time would be a good option. They kind of come beat up… They're still solid, and I can put the parts that fell off into the birdfeeder and but may be a small box for these next time?? Either way the birds love them and I'm still gonna keep buying them just hoping next time they come in one piece …
My animals can't get enough of this. Birds, rabbits and squirrels love it.
I liked how easy it was to take the Pennington seed cake out of the box and hang it on a tree branch and most importantly I liked that all the birds, not just the woodpeckers, as well as a few squirrels enjoyed the variety of seeds, corn, and nuts.
The woodpeckers in my neighborhood absolutely love this block. I've even seen a few blue jays. Only down side is sometimes chunks will fall to the ground. I'm which case, the squirrels love it since they're unable to climb the pole due to the slinky 🤣
NOT IMPRESSED Very dried out product Here in AZ it makes it worse Not sure the birds like it. Ends up going to waste - too bad. I will stick with SUET I just bought from now on. much better item. The CACTUS WRENS and CURVED BILLs like SUET big time. Do not get much activity from Woodpeckers here.
I ordered and paid for 6 woodpecker treats and I only received 5, and 1 of those is broken!
The bird food was totally crushed, turned to powder! This package was crushed when it was placed in the shipping box, because the box showed no signs of damage!! Whoever did this should be terminated!!
