My granddaughter was delighted with this whirling birthday candle!
I used it for my granddaughter's 5th birthday party! She loved it and so did the adults!
This worked exactly like the video. It was a great surprise to my sister. The Song is still playing 6 days later and counting.
Great fun. Warning. Don't put any other decorations close to it on the cake. It opens up after lighting and spins. We put some extra candles too close and they ran into each other. This will continue with the birthday song music for a very long time. After sticking it outside for two days we finally had to destroy the spinnaker to get it to stop.
I bought this for my 9 year old granddaughter's birthday cake as a 'something special'. It worked exactly as described and was the hit of the birthday celebration.
It didn't play the music, but the sparkle effect was amazing, and a little scary. You'll notice in my picture there's no one in front of the cake because he ran. I didn't read reviews before buying this so I didn't see where some peoples caught fire. Luckily ours didn't. The kids loved it! I wish it would let me upload the video. If buying this candle I would use caution and make sure there's nothing flammable close to it. We will buy again my husband wants one for his cake!
The candle is very cute but is only good for one use. It would be nice if you could reuse the candle. My candle did not play the music, it did spin and was really fun to watch spin and light up. If it played the music I think it would have been worth the $$. Maybe mine was a dud.
It was incredible all right! One big, huge, incredible flame! No spin....no opening.....but there was music as the smoke alarms went off. Waste of money.
I wish I could include the video of our experience with these candles! The photo I am able to share shows what the candles actually did. I put two on a birthday cake last night, as we were celebrating two family birthdays. Really high flames shot up from the center of each candle. They played music, but neither opened. When they were blown out in an attempt to diffuse the horrid smell of burning plastic, the flames were pushed across the table. We had to quickly grab a bowl of water to throw them in to extinguish them before our smoke detectors went off, then pat the flames on the table to put them out. I can understand if one candle is defective, but this was two at the same time. Worst purchase I have ever made!
I bought this candle for my great grand daughter's birthday cake. When it opened, not all the outside candles were lit. It was disappointing.
