This door is very nice quality, easy to install and fits perfectly!
Fit the dogloo perfectly. Nice winter protection for the dog. Very satisfied.
The pad seem nice and I'm thinking of purchasing one, but I was wondering if patemate will make pad that heats up?
Although I bought the door I'm not sure it will work as I want. I bought the Igloo and door for feral neighborhood cats to stay warm this winter. My one local outside cat walked into the Igloo and napped, but this was after I installed the door, flipped it up and taped it up inside. I taped it up in order to let cats get used to the Igloo and door after being installed. Later, after I know cats are going into the Igloo I will release the door and let it hang normally; hopefully, the cats will get used to going in and out of the Igloo and pushing through the door.
When dog enters doghouse the door flap gets stuck on the side of the doghouse entry and does not come back down leaving the entry wide open, like having no door flap at all.
Easy to install. Fit and finish leaves something to be desired. Does somewhat provide more protection.
This is the second door we got for our Dogloo house. The first one we purchased from a pet store on their recommendation. It never fit properly, and it was thin and ended up curling on the sides. Time for a replacement. This year, I went out to the house and read the name brand off the house and was excited that WalMart carried exactly what we needed, finally, our pet would be as comfy as possible in the winter. It came in, but was EXACTLY like the first one we purchased! We were able to use the first one, but had to CREATE the holes in order to mount it on the house. The holes on it would not line up. Also, There were VERY LARGE gaps on either side between the door and the entry way, even though we had purchased the XL size. This one was EXACTLY the same. It did not work either. Do not waste your money thinking you will get a good fit. Not WalMart's fault, but we returned it for a credit.
We've had the large dog igloo and door for a few weeks and they've been great! This evening I saw the door laying on the deck. It had completely torn across the top where it connects to the doghouse. For the cost of the door I expected it to last more than a few weeks. Now we have a large dog igloo that's pretty useless without a door to protect from the wind.
The flap broke when the dog used it when it was cold out. For that price you would think it would withstand the cold.
