Works good. Large brush works great in the Drinkwell 360 filter housing, small brush perfect for the pump tube extension and impeller cavity, I usually use a toothbrush for the rest of the crevices on the pump, haven't used or needed the medium brush. I wash the large parts of the fountain with a dishrag. Kit helps to get into the tighter spots.
Actually, I didn't realize I should have been cleaning the motor as well as the fountain. Somehow, I missed that memo. The motor stopped working. Of course, it did! It needed a major cleaning! So I cleaned it out the best I could. Then I ordered the kit. I was a little skeptical why these brushes would be so much better. But they are. They just work - in the tight places of the motor, on the big pieces of the porcelain and in the narrow openings. I was happy I got them. And the motor works like it did when I first got the fountain. By the way, I really enjoy listening to the fountain almost as much as the cat does drinking from it.

I skipped the purchase of a cleaning kit when I purchased a Drinkwell fountain years ago, but am glad I decided to buy this cleaning kit with my recently-purchased fountain. These are high-quality brushes, NOT made in China, and are all you need to adequately clean your pet fountain...
I’ve been feeding my 2 little loves dry food only which they were happy with but I noticed there were not many pees in the litter box. So I looked around and found the Drinkwell water fountain. They love it and are drinking much more water. They also like to play with it which is fine. Noticed more pees in their box. Win win for all of us.
It took about 6 weeks for my 2 cats to use it on a regular basis, now they love it. The gurgling sound not too bad as long as you keep it filled. My only Issue is taking apart the motor..I have to use needle point pliers and not so easy. I cannot use a fingernail as suggested.
It's nice to have dedicated brushes for my fountain. I really only use the large brush and the small brush. The small brush is perfect for cleaning the pump and all the small pieces. If you have a straw cleaner you could also use that, but I found the small brush in this pack to be more sturdy and do a much better job at cleaning the "gunk" out of the pump.

Having cleaned the fountain for a year without this kit, I didn't really need it but I would recommend it for anyone buying the Drinkwell Fountain, as it makes cleaning easier.
I bought this specifically for the “tiny” cleaning brush to get hard to hard to reach places. The “tiny” brush is made of a thick metal that is bent at the top. And there are no bristles at the top. All I’m doing is scraping a metal pole against the motor parts. And because of the thickness of the metal it can’t even get in the edges and corners of the motor pieces. I’ll go back to using q-tips which aren’t the best but work better than this.
