[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our dog has a thing with getting up on our cupboards so we decided to get this to try and see if it would keep him off. I have to say the results are amazing. We put the wire on the edge of our cupboards and ran it along to the plug. The installation was very easy. I have to say it is working flawlessly.The first night we heard a yelp in the middle of the night, assuming he got shocked and some of our food from the cupboard was on the floor but by day 3 he learned his lesson and did not get on the cupboards. It is so awesome to be able to leave our bread on the cubpoards and not have to worry about the dog getting to it (our dog loves bread). We will be leaving it ont the cupboards for about a month just to make sure he doesnt get on it and then we will be putting it outside in the front yard to keep him in the yard. I love that we can use this without having to put in an actual fence. I love how this comes with everything you need and that it is rechargable. Its great quality and works perfctly. I definetly recommend it.
Works great, I like that you can change the settings on each collar. I have 3 dogs and one is stubborn so I can set hers at a higher setting.

It was easy to install and set up and easy to use. We live somewhat close to the road and it's busy so it's been a blessing. Our furbaby can run and play and go outside anytime and I can rest easy knowing he is safe and secure. We love that it's charging time lasts so long and it was so easy to get use to and set up. I also love that give you detailed instructions and help you through it. My dog had it down in about a week and a half and he loves it. We couldn't be happier with this rechargeable inground fence and our dog is even happier!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After being in our new home for around two months now and finally had a weekend free my husband and I decided to set up the inground fence. We have one femal dog roughly around 65 lbs that is fairly obedient and really just loves going outside between early morning and late evening. This kit comes nicely packaged with instructions and seems fairly understandable to figure out. You can also look up any trouble shooting online which I highly recommend along with training your dog before hand as that plays an important roll. It comes with everything needed to get started and you can purchase an extra collar or wire on line per animal if needed. I'm really only focusing on my backyard so this is more than enough to get me started as were literally going along the yard with no trees or bushes in the way. It also states that you can place it to an existing fence which I thought was pretty nice. I suggest two people working together as one digs and the other places the wire in the ground behind them. We layed the wire on top of the ground to determine were we wanted it to be and make any last adjustments before we started and we were able to finished in a day and a half with my son helping us towards the end. My husband took care of hooking the wire up and let me place the collar on our dog. We started out slowly and she did really good but started to follow her dad around front while on setting one which is just the tone so we went back and read directions and realized our mistake. We will start at two and up it one at a time during the next few weeks till she gets the concept and doesn't do it again. I can tell you at two when we first tried I don't know what she thought but it did take her by surprise and wasn't something she was use to so I think shes realizing not to go past the flag zone. The good thing is it's enough to startle her but without harming her or make her hate me. I'm still in the training mode and with her being an older dog I'm going a little slower since she gets so scared easily. This is going to be nice letting her out while I'm getting ready in the morning and giving her more room to roam and come back in on her time. One good thing to is thankfully we have a window that we can run the wire through at the corner to connect to the transmitter since it has to be connected indoors. The fence transmitter has a piece that's slides off so you can screw to the wall. Overall we made a few simple mistakes but it was fairly easy to set up and I feel better knowing she can enjoy the outdoors having more space to sniff and not run off! I highly recommend as it doesn't hurt your animal and gives them more freedom to move around!
Easy install, just had to score the ground and tuck it in. Wiring in the garage was also easy. Doesn't come with twisted wire make sure to order separately. I also bought different flags. The ones that came with it were small and not very visible.
We live in a suburban neighborhood with a lot of people walking their dogs by our home. The system works so well, my dog will not even attempt to cross the fence to visit other dogs. My 14 year old son and I installed the In-Ground fence in about four hours. Installation time will obviously vary based on the size of your yard. We used an edger to cut the ground in the yard. However, the fence only went down a few inches (like maybe 4" max). The problem with this is if you use shovels and stab them in the ground, you risk cutting the wire (which I've done 2 times in the last 4 months) but that is an easy repair as long as you know where the cut happened. If not, there is a fix for that too. My poor planning resulted in me not having enough wire. I did not realize that in order to have the fence work at intended with the maximum distance, it needs to loop all the way around and back which means 2 times the amount of wire that I originally thought. So make sure you plan this out carefully. Once we did it, the fence works great. The dog quickly learned how far he could go. Afterwards we would sometimes let the dog outside without his collar (not recommended) and he would not break the fence. I liked this system so much, I bought another system to install at my in-laws home for their dog!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been seeking a product to train our stubborn lab so she stays in the yard. The Pet Safe Underground Fence system appeared to be the perfect option. The kit comes complete with transmitter, collar, boundary flags, boundary wire, power adapter, receiver charger, long contact points, surge protector and mounting bracket. The installation was simple and directions were easy to follow. We planned out the set up of the fence for the front and side yards. The next step is to dig the wires into the ground approximately 2 inches. In order to “skip” a spot in the yard, the wires just need to be twisted. After installing the underground wire, training then began. It took us approximately a week in a half for training. The static correction was just what was needed for our stubborn lab. She now stops as soon as she hears the beep - plus - this has been great with her learning other boundaries that she is not supposed to be in (such as my garden).
This fence works great, but it was finicky to set up. The wires have to be inserted just the right distance, but not too far or the box thought the wire loop was broken. It took us a while to figure that out. In the process the spring popped out of one of the wire clamps so it was useless, but we found the spring and my husband was able to fix it. I really wish there was just a screw we could wrap the wire around and tighten, which would feel much more stable. Everytime we moved the thing, the wires popped out, up till we got it into it's final resting space. We're a little worried the box will get bumped and a wires will come loose again. I will say that when we thought the device wasn't working, the PetSafe team replied to my e-mail within minutes, and on a Sunday. I was super impressed with the fast customer support. We've been using it for almost 2 weeks, counting training time, and our hound foster now stops about 8 feet from the fence he was previously jumping, which is about when he should be hearing the beep. We keep the collar next to the back door and turned off, unless we're putting the dog out. We haven't needed to charge it yet.
Doesn't work well. We bought the set and 2 extra collars. 2 of the collars can run right across the barrier with no correction.
