I think some stoneware just doesn't photograph well, especially those with the matte glazes, like these have. These bowls look much better than I expected. I bought them on clearance to be dishes for my dog, but heck no... we'll use them. They're a pleasant surprise. We mostly eat "bowl" foods, stews, soups, salads, etc., and seldom eat at the table. In every set of china we've bought over the decades, the bowls always vanish first. I'm not saying these won't break, but they are heavy, sturdy, hold a full 3 cups of food, and the attached handles on each side are easy and comfortable to grip. I'm very pleased with them.
Love them! I like the color, different designs, size and shape. They are great for soup but work well for serving dishes too when there are only a couple of people in the family.
Our print was out of stock, so we got these. They are an amazing addition and they coordinate perfectly. So glad to stay with Pfaltzgraff!
I'm so glad I got ahold of these bowls before they sold out! The stoneware on these bowls is top quality and the colors are an added plus! I love how versatile these bowls are. I used them for my dad's birthday in which we had tacos, I filled the bowls with all the toppings- onions, tomatoes, cilantro and even salsa. The bowls were a hit since they made the birthday party setting so much prettier

Bought these for chili and was not disappointed. Looking forward to serving many hearty soups and stews this winter in these substantial bowls. Also good for my grandchildren as the flat bottom and weight make it difficult for them to turn them over.
