We have a pretty big dining table and I wanted to have two of these butter dishes, so guests wouldn't have to say, "pass the butter please"! You will like the sleek design and standard butter stick size is the way to go!
This goes with nothing I have. Oh well. My everyday butter dish fell and broke, I needed another, and for me the only place to get trustworthy stoneware is Pfaltzgraff. When I have company I'll bring out the one that matches my Pistoulet. This one is good looking, not too big but wide enough that the lid interior won't get smeared up with butter. It's also wide enough to allow your knife to cut a full pat of butter down to the bottom of the plate, without leaving a portion there. I'm not sure why this matters to me, but it does. I don't like messy-looking butter dishes, what can I say? The usual good Pfaltzgraff quality, and beautiful glazing. Out of all the Pfaltzgraff I've purchased over the years, I've never once been dissatisfied with the quality of an item, or the unique glazing that many have.
This is a perfect complement to the salt and pepper shaker and sugar bowl on my table
This is what I call a real Butter Dish ..... I love the TAOS COLLECTION
Very satisfied. Works well for me. Fits well with the rest of my Taos place settings, etc.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved the first one but I broke it. Still love this pattern, quick delivery & quality of product.
Purchasing this covered butter dish was likely our best purchase of the year. Having a dish for my family's butter is so much better than placing the butter directly on our table or holding it in our hands (sometimes, despite our best efforts, the kids don't scrub their hands for the CDC-recommended 20-30 seconds, leaving us to wonder what is actually on our butter aside from the toast crumbs, which no one admits to putting there). Additionally, the dish makes passing the butter so much easier when we don't have to slide the stick of butter across the table or pick it up with our fingers. The cover is also great as it allows for a surprise for our dinner guests. The guests often gaze at the mysterious covered dish on the table until we reveal the glorious yellow dairy spread beneath the earthen-colored dome. Of course, we don't share this with all of our guests, else we be considered show-offs or highfalutin types. The Taos Covered Butter Dish is truly a remarkable piece of dinnerware and we do not know how we lived without it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered two of the covered butter dishes and I'm looking forward to having people over so we can set our tables up with these good looking pieces.
I love it, matches my Taos dishes. The only improvement would be a small “handle” on the lid. If your fingers are slippery it's had to get the lid off.
It hasn't shipped yet and I've received no updates. I'm not sure why you wake me to rate it now.
