[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Philips Avent Anti-colic Baby Bottle With AirFree Vent bottles are great. Our baby is just about 3 weeks old and needed some help with feeding. We tried a few different bottles and nipples and nothing seemed to help her slow down. She would try to eat so fast and in return would end up getting gassy because of all the air that was getting through more than food. Not to mention spit up every feeding. Due to the feeding issues she wasn't gaining the weight see needed too. So we tried these bottles and they are great. Not only is the flow perfect for a newborn. The way these bottles work are great because the air vent keeps the milk in there and the extra air out. By using this air vent it has caused her to be less gassy and have little to no spit ups. She is now happier overall and gaining the weight that she needs to be. Once she has better control and is a little older we can use these bottles without the air vent. The bottles are also really easy to clean and easy to put together, especially for late night/early morning feedings. I did receive these bottles to try thanks to Stellar Panel Testing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 2 pack of bottles I received as part of a Stellar Testing Panel are a great option for our baby. The anti-colic mechanism on the bottle helps keep milk in the nipple even as you tilt the bottle horizontally, which I think seems to help a little bit with spitting up. The bottle parts are also really easy to clean and put back together which is a huge plus. Our baby finds the bottle very easy to drink from as well, similar to other Avent bottles. All in all it's a pretty great product that I would recommend to any other parent.
These bottles are great! I received these bottles as a gift from weeSpring Parent Panel and enjoy using them! They fit in my hands just right and are not too bulky to put in my diaper bag. These bottles are very easy to clean and to take apart. The only con that I have is that the bottle occasionally leaks from the base of the nipple and from the closure of the lid. Other than that, these bottles are just right! I thank weeSpring Parent Panel for the opportunity to try and use these bottles!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this bottle set to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This is my third baby and we have always used Phillips Avent bottles because they are what my older kids preferred. When I had baby number 3, we discovered he had a hard time latching and has a smaller mouth than the older two and for those reasons our preferred bottle didn't work for him. This bottle and it's slimmer nipple is a much better fit for his smaller mouth. Our little one has been plagued with colic in these first few weeks, the inserts have helped a lot, slowing down the flow of milk and breaking up any bubbles. They are easy to clean and put together even during late night feedings.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this bottle and so does my daughter! I've used this bottle exclusively since receiving it from Stellar Product Testing Panel and have seen such an improvement in my daughter's colic. She's much calmer after feedings and is less gassy and fussy overall, which leads to her sleeping better! The nipples to this bottle are different than the ones my daughter used before but she took to it right away and has no problem switching from nipple to breast when she wants to nurse. The vent piece is super easy to clean which is one thing I worried about as I didn't want the extra pieces to require too much time to clean. This bottle is amazing and will definitely be our go to from now on!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Phillips Avent Anti-Colic baby bottles in exchange for my honest review from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. To be completely honest, I was not holding my breath that I would love these. We didn't love the other Phillips products we had tried, they were just alright, so I expected the same from these. I was completely wrong! These are such a great option for anticolic bottles. I love the air-free vent and how it keeps the milk in the nipple even when the bottle is tilted down, it has been such a game changer! I also appreciate that there are not many parts to clean- anyone who has used anticolic bottles before knows there are usually a ton of parts to wash but not with these. We have actually found ourselves reaching for these bottles much more than what we had been using prior to receiving these, we just like them that much! I do feel that they have improved our babies gas and burping. There are also many nipple sizes which have made the transition to them even easier than expected. If you have a gassy baby, I would absolutely recommend giving these a try!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would like to say these bottles are the best I ever used. Before receiving them I was having such restless nights due to my baby being up crying due to colic. When I got these bottles they were a huge blessing because it helped my baby ease all his pains due to the gas he had. My baby enjoyed these bottles so much because he was able to relive all his gas and burping him was nice and quick and easy. The bottles were very easy to put together and use quickly and the wash process was even easier. The bottle and nipple gave my baby the the best feeding he had in a couple of months. And I would like to thank Stellar Product Testing Panel! for giving me the chance to try these for my baby.
My baby was ~5 months old when we started using these bottles (with #1 nipple). He is formula fed and ever since he's been born, he's had problems with reflux with spit up almost every time after feedings, sometimes to the point of projectile spit up! He also suffers from gas which causes discomfort. We tried multiple different formulas as well as bottles to find a right fit to help keep it under control. Pros: Overall, these bottles are effective and although my son still spits up a tiny bit after meals, it is not near the amount he has spit up with other bottles. He also seems to not be as gassy; we usually put him to sleep by feeding with this bottle (and it isn't always easy for him to fall asleep if he's gassy). Shape wise I find the bottle lightweight and easy to hold (for me as well as when he tries to help hold it some himself). We also have not had any issues with leaks, as we've had with other vented bottle brands. Nipple wise, he seems to latch very easily and maintains a good latch throughout the feeding and seems to like these bottles. I also like how it can be used multi-functionally (regular bottle, for breast pump, milk storage, and training cup) Although these are all pros, there are some cons that I've found....the directions in how to position the vent part of the bottle inside the bottle are not very clear. There are pictures in the direction pamphlet of how to specifically position it but no words/description with it. So honestly I'm not even sure if I've been using the vent portion properly? Also although the vent portion is easier to clean than other brands I've tried (mostly because it's all open), I find the vent really difficult to remove after feeding (it seems like while feeding, it suctions onto the bottle top). Luckily I have nails to break the seal and pop it out after feedings but it was still not easy and I can see this being a challenge/annoying for many people. I also find that although the #1 nipples are advertised as being the slowest flow for this brand, they are still relatively fast compared to other brands (similar to #2-3 in other brands we've used). Luckily my son is ~5 months old so can handle the faster flow now, although he still does have some overflow at times due to how fast it is. If he were any younger, I could see this being a big issue for him and his reflux. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this product!
Overall, I liked the Avent Anti-Colic Bottles with AirFree vents, and I give them 4/5 star rating. The bottle size is fantastic for fitting in diaper bag or purse. They are compact and the bottle cap has a very secure fit so I never worried about leaking. It also snapped on and off easily with one hand, which all parents know is super important when baby wants to eat quickly on the go! :) I also really like the slight curve in the body of bottle which made it comfortable for me to hold, as well as baby's hand when she wanted to grab the bottle. I used the pink design bottle, which I thought was cute vs a typical clear bottle. I used the Size 1 nipple for my 4 month old who is mostly breastfed and I was very happy with the flow. Between the AirFree vent and the nipple design, I thought the bottle design was really great for controlling the flow of milk and preventing extra air--even towards the end of the bottle. I noticed that at the end of feeding, baby's need to be burped wasn't as strong as with other bottles which I really liked because I typically give bottle right before bed and it's one less thing to worry about after I put her down. In terms of cleaning, I found the body of the bottle compact and very easy to clean (even on the go without a bottle brush which is a huge plus for me!!). Cleaning the vent was also easy, as opposed to other brands that have vents I am never quite sure if the cleaning agent is reaching, the pieces are thick and easy to access all angles, so you can really scrub them. The only reason I am not giving these bottles a 5/5 is the disassembly process. When I tried transferring milk into the bottle while holding baby, I ended up having to put baby down because the seal on the vent is very tight against the body of the bottle, which is great to serve the purpose of preventing air, but you really have to stick your nail under the vent to pop it out and I needed both hands. Baby definitely enjoyed this bottle and I found the feeding process from start to finish really smooth. The assembly process will just take some getting used to, so I think I will continue to use this product as baby grows. Bottles were provided as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received the Avent bottle and airflow system to test for Stellar Panels. Our daughter was experiencing gassy issues and spitting up from time to time so we were happy to try a new bottle system. After the first use she didn't spit up as much and seems less gassy. The bottle was easy to put together just have to remember to have the vent facing up during feedings. Cleaning was easy as the parts come apart easily. Bottle brushes can clean with no problem. Have been using for a few weeks and still believe they are helping our little girl. Just need a bigger bottle now as she is eating more then 4 oz!
