These headphones are FANTASTIC!

I bought these headphones to go with my Archos 605 WiFi and they are amazing. They come with three different sizes of earbuds. They are most definitely an "in ear" set of earbuds, but that sort of thing doesn't bother me. The noisecancelling works very well, I use it in crowded areas where people tend to get a little loud. The headphones also handle bass really well, and produce a very rich sound. I reccomend this product to anyone who is fine with fitting an earbud into their ear.

The Philips earbuds are basically earplugs with noise cancelling and high quality sound added to them. They are simply the best personal audio devices I have ever used personally, and I work in the electronics department at Wal-Mart.

The earbuds are very good. The sound quality is great and the noise cancelling function works very well. Good value and Phillips makes good products at reasonable prices. I would recommend this product to my friends.

This is an unbelievable product, but the best thing about Wal-Mart's association with this product is their prices! I first found these earbuds several years ago at my local Wal-Mart store. When I recently wanted to purchase another set to have as backup, I couldn't find them in ANY Wal-Mart store I visited--whether it was in Tennessee or California! So I was thrilled to find them on walmart.com. These earbuds come with three different interchangeable sizes of tips--so they would fit anyone's ears comfortably. And when they say "noise cancelling" they really mean it. They magnify and round out the volume from anything you're listening to, and you can really tell a difference when you use them versus not using them. I also love the straps that go around your neck, because this way the weight of the earbuds themselves don't pull them down and out of your ears. You don't really notice the straps once you get them on, and they definitely serve a real purpose. This product has far exceeded any expectation I had of them. The ONLY complaint I have is that Philips doesn't appear to have a product number for the tips. So if you happen to lose one, it can't be replaced simply by ordering another set of tips. You have to get another whole set of the earbuds.

These earbuds are actually pretty good. The noise canceling feature is excellent and it really helps cut down on background noise. The wires seem durable and I expect that these earbuds will last a long time. There are 100% better than the Apple earbuds that came with my Ipod. I also used Site To Store shipping and was very pleased with that whole thing too.

Overall, the unit is practical, but only if the user is staying pretty much stationary.

Some noise cancelling not much

The fit of the ear buds for me was a bit loose, with them failing out too often, especially if you are moving around. For sitting around and listening they are o.k. and comfortable enough. Was somewhat optimistic after seeing the claim of 70% less external noise, but that is hardly the case. Basically it just makes what you are listening to louder, which ends up blocking some of the outside noise. I did notice a fair bit of distortion to sound quality when listening to music. For the quality of the product the price is about right. Ended up buying Bose earphones for noise canceling, which cost a lot more. But as the saying goes you get what you paid for, would not really recommend this product for the casual listener on the move.

It doesn't seem to take a lot of noise out as promised, but it produces a "buffer" of noise reduction. Kinda like putting your hands over your ears but not fully. I haven't tried this on a airplane, but I'm looking forward to. Does come with 3 different size plugs for different size ears. But the middle size, which fitted my ears the most, tend to fall out when I walk around. I think the bulky volume switch unit and rather large wires are too heavy to be wearing. Would not recommend this product for someone who works out, since it tends to fall out. If you want to lay back and save some money, this may be right for you but once again, the sound reduction is not impressive.

Does not cancel noise!

The Philips HN060 is not a real noise canceling system. You will only notice a slight noise reduction apparently for two reasons. The tight seal in the ear and from a substantial boost in volume to drown out noise. Once you turn the noise canceling switch on, the volume level increases significantly. I will return it.
