[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time using an electric shaver. The Shaver 1100 has provided me with an awesome new experience. I wasn't sure what to expect at first but I was pleasantly surprised and impressed! The shaver is easy to start using out the box. It gives a smooth and clean shave, and is very easy to clean. It feels very sturdy and durable. The power cord is plenty long enough and the water resistance makes it usable any time. I will be using this shaver for a very long to come.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shaver is awesome and provides a nice smooth finish. It is corded so you can't really go too far from it, but it still works awesome. I actually like it being corded cause you never run out of power. I also enjoy the feel of the blades. They are not rough on the skin.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I migrated to razor with multiple blade cartridges and shaving gel from an electric shaver where maintenance was alcohol-based cleaning fluid. I remembered old Norelco commercials and decided to purchase a current model - saving gel down the sink and monthly blade replacement. The shave is easy, clean and comfortable and maintenance and cleaning is simple and free. The units goes more than a week after a USB charge. I wish I had gone this way much earlier.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this shaver because my other electric shavers never seem to be charged or hold a charge, this is a corded electric shaver so you dont have to worry about battery power levels, just plug in and use, it is very light weight and get the job done,
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this shaver both dry and wet. Actually, I like using it wet with shaving gel the best but that takes a little longer than a dry shave. I feel I get a closer shave wet. I use it dry when I'm in a hurry and it does a great job.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice shave but missing some features from my old Phillips shaver. Example being no idea of battery status or warning to charge soon. Also, not ready to go out of the box. I'm okay with usb charging but should have included usb adapter in box. Good thing I had one laying around.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is not my primary shaving instrument. I'm retired and some days I choose to pass on the pleasant but laborious hot, wet shave and lather ritual, but still want to be presentable (I'm not into the stubble look). This shaver delivers an adequate shave, but not as close as a good old double edge blade.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a triple header from the 80s. It was a solidarity razor and a very strong motor and blades that could easily cut thru facial hair..whether it's using the pop up trimmer or triple heads. I like how it's water proof and leans easily..I don't like the lack of power or cutting power it has now..pop up trimmer blades are smaller than the old model and motor for triple header isn't as strong and the blades tend to pull more due to lack of power and not being as sharp..I do like that the cord isn't attached permanently to the shaver.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like Philips Norelco shaver my first one broke they sent me a new one it works great love it thanks
Maybe I'm just out of touch with how things are now... I had a Norelco corded tripleheader years ago, similar to the attached photo. Then after growing a permanent beard I changed to blade shaving more than 30 years ago. However, two months ago I had throat surgery so I bought the 2300 thinking an electric shaver would be more gentle on my neck than a blade. That it is, but to my memory this shaver runs at a *fraction* of the speed of my old tripleheader. It shaves slowly and the pop-out trimmer is so slow as to be virtually useless. I have to go over any area again and again to get below stubble-stage. It's quiet, but that's hardly important. I started to buy the basic corded shaver but opted for the 2300 since it didn't have a trimmer. Maybe I should've bought the corded model for better performance? I don't shave in the shower nor anywhere but in front of the bathroom mirror. For what it's worth, I prefer the (more or less) 90-degree design and ergonomics of the old shaver to this (again, more or less) straight design, but that's just me. Are my expectations off or is there something wrong with my 2300? Note - I'm not talking about blade-vs-shaver differences, just this particular shaver vs. others.
