This is the older model and the replacement brush heads are a little more expensive, BUT it's HALF PRICE off of the low original cost. ONLY $20, and it is a rechargable model, which is much more convenient than dealing with batteries. No it's not as good as their $260 model that not everyone can afford, but it's still pretty darned good. It's a steal for this price and WELL WORTH THE MONEY FOR EVERYONE!!! (Yes, I AM a dentist, as a matter of fact. I recommend the SoniCare BRAND power brushes to almost all of my patients. )
This toothbrush is amazing! My teeth feel so clean. I am a smoker so my teeth had tobacco stains but now they are gone! I highly recommend this product for good dental hygiene.
I have used Sonicare Essence for years. The quality of the job it does is fantastic and the price would be hard to beat. I recommended it to my wife after she went through several more expensive Sonicare brushes I think she will like this.
I already had a Philips Sonicare Essence Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush, and I had it for a long time and needed another one. I looked at all of the new Sonicare Electric Toothbrushes that were out and wanted to stick with what I had. I was very grateful that Walmart sold it at a great price.
I needed a new electric toothbrush to replace my old one, so I decided on this type of toothbrush because of the other style of electric toothbrush (with the round head) kept tearing skin off my bottom lip. The sonic toothbrush has gotten my teeth really clean and my gums look and feel healthier. I feel I have cleaner teeth with an electric toothbrush over a manual and I do getting better checkups at the dentist, what dentist exclaimed when he looked at my teeth and said, "Where is the plaque?!" and I had not been to the dentist in over a year!
This Sonicare Essence tooth brush is a basic one that replaced one just like it that we had a long time and broke after being dropped. This one has the beep every 30 seconds so you can move on to the next quadrant in your mouth. The old one didn't have that. You can't beat the price.
This is the best electric toothbrush i've used. I've been using sonicare for 20 years. It's like a gentle massage for my gum and teeth. My teeth feel extremely clean after use. Note: The vibration was weak the first few times of use, after that, it worked full speed. Highly recommended!!
I bought this for my 6 year old to help with toothbrushing. I like that it times you and goes for 2 minutes and shuts off. It works great and is easy to use. It starts off at a lower power and works up (after 12 times being used) to its full power to help you get use to it. You can reprogram it to start that cycle over, if you need to. It needs to be charged for 24 hours before the first use.
I am pleased with the brush - it works as adverised. I rub the toothpaste into the brush before starting it, just to make sure it stays in place. In use, as the handle becomes wet, it tends to slip out of my hand. I use a washcloth to hold it, that works OK. A contoured housing for a better grip would be a great improvement.
Had to replace one i had for 10 years. It's still working, but the rubber button is cracked and takes a few tries to start it. Otherwise, never had any problems. It's maybe not so sophisticated, but does the job for this kind of money. Took it to travel with me. For most of 10 days - it was working perfectly twice a day without charging. Like they promised (up to two weeks).
