While my Sonicare toothbrush seems to run forever without fail. I am on my fifth AirFloss device in five years. Its Achilles heel, is the reservoir lid which holds the water or rinse agent used in AirFlossing. The hinge detaches within the first few weeks of use...and must then be replaced manually after filling the reservoir. It's a basic design issue that still plagues the AirFloss years after its introduction. But, in its defense, no other product does its job as well as the AirFloss. The two products, Sonicare Toothbrush and Sonicare AirFloss should be purchased together. It's an unbeatable combo, despite the AirFloss' flaws.
The AirFloss is a great product when it works. Before buying the AirFloss Pro (because I could not find replacement nozzles for the original AirFloss), I had its predecessor AirFloss. Under the warranty, this AirFloss was replaced twice because it stopped working. I bought the AirFloss Pro in December and it worked for 10 days before it would not start and had to be replaced under the warranty. So far, the replacement has worked fine.
My Air Floss Pro went bad the first week of use. It had to be replaced. Fortunately, the replacement process went well. I now have a replacement unit and I am concerned it may fail too. So far it has been working fine. The pump part of the unit failed.
This is my fourth Phillips Sonicare and I love it by why do I only give it a two-star rating? Because the other three were also excellent too but stopped working after a period of time from a few days to a few months. To be honest, I am not sure how long my present one will last before it stops working. I have followed all recommendations and cleaned it accordingly. But I believe (I can't prove it) that when I use it, the saliva and water and toothpaste mixture trickles down through the top and filters into the motor and eventually shuts the motor down. If or when my present Sonicare stops working, I will contact Phillips to try and get a new one under the terms of my guarantee. I really need it to keep my gums healthy and I will continue to wait and go through the aggravation (and shipping expense) to get a new one. Phillips Customer Care is excellent.
I love this product when it works. Unfortunately I used it for about a month when it just shut off while using it. The power turns on, a buzzing sound but no spray.
I loved the cleaner made my mouth feel so clean and good. The only problem I had was it quit working after using for a little over a month. The motor just quit no warning. I did not save my receipt so it was money down the drain. I wish I had read reviews it seem this is a common problem. I opted not to go back to this product instead got a water pic that is not battery operated hoping it will do better.
I bought this flosser on the recommendation of my dentist but was extremely disappointed when the first one stopped working after I used it for a week. The unit would not turn on even though I made sure I was operating it properly and it was fully charged with the green light indicator on. I figured I must have gotten a bad unit and I returned it and got another one. This one also stopped working after about four days. I gave up and returned the unit. I also found that the reservoir made it a little awkward to hold while pressing the on button and manipulating it around my mouth.
My dentist sold me this product. I liked it when it worked. However, it failed and had to be replaced. When I got the new one, it failed as well. Unfortunately, the warranty is not being honored and I cannot get it replaced or refunded. I know the writing guidelines say to refrain from customer service, but when you buy a product, you buy the whole company.
Purchased this product less than 1 month ago. Initially I was happy with it, but then it stopped working after 3 weeks of use. Called Phillips and they say they will send a replacement. I see similar review comments about this product, so I wonder whether this is a poorly designed product that will keep having the same issues?
this new model is not as powerful as the previous model and i have it set to full power. the idea is great, but since the previous models didn't last iam hopeful this will
