I was looking for a modern/different toddler bed and this was exactly what I was looking for. Fabric is lighter than it appears on the picture but it worked great for me. Bed was very easy to put together. Based on the picture I was concerned that it might not be sturdy enough because of the legs but it holds up just well.
This is an ammendment to the prior "Horrible" review on this bed. Newco did finally call me back and offer to make another bed, put it together and then take it apart and send it to me. In the meantime, I drilled holes into the siderails and used the screws provided to secure the slats to the rails. You need to drill the holes or the screws will not go into the wood. I also got longer screws to secure the headboard and footboard into the siderails. The problem is that they protrude beyond the wood and it is still not secure. But they are offering to send another bed out. I still would not recommend this product but I thought that people should know that the company did respond.
The directions had to be written by someone who never put this together. In fact, I don't think anyone ever did put one of these together because it does not assemble. There are tiny holds to fit the screws for the headboard and footboard into the side rails that are almost impossible to see without a magnifying glass. Once you find them and push the screws through the fabric they DON"T screw into the siderails! The wooden slats for to hold the matress have holes for drywall screws to hold them in place on the siderail however, there are no holes in the siderail so they don't screw into them. You need to drill the holes into the wood first and then scre them into it. Calling the company on the phone number provided does not help at all. There is nobody to answer the call. Now I have put in garbage disposals, assembled multitudes of toys, beds, cabinets etc. This was the WORST experience EVER! For $189 plus shipping and tax they could at least put washers into the siderail holes to accept the screws. I had to shove it up next to the wall so my child could finally go to sleep---after 11PM! and I started at 6PM! This should be easy to assemble, there are only 10 screws and eight to hold the matress but it is NOT! Save yourself a lot if time and frustration and just buy the least expensive wood toddler bed for your child becuase as cute at this bed looks it is HORRIBLE! AND definately not worth the price!
