My three year old son received one of these for Christmas. We never had any problems with it working properly. It gets tons of use at our house and is definitely one of his favorite toys. I like the fact it doesn't damage walls or furniture too.
My grandson (almost 3) opened this gift yesterday and it was an immediate hit. While the range isn't that far, the excitement of playing with this far outweighs that. He and his sister (almost 4) have been fighting over this toy and laughing and squealing with joy. Both kids have been able to flip the car and have even made it spin on its side. Great gift. My granddaughter now wants one for her birthday instead of a princess dress!
My 3 year old son received this car as a Christmas gift and absolutely loves it. We brought it with us on a family ski trip and all the cousins have had a blast racing it around the room, laughing, giggling and trying to flip it. Great toy for children 20 months and up.
We were really excited about this toy, but quickly disappointed!! It has very limited range with the remote. You had to point the remote at a specific spot on the car to get it to go. I only got the car to flip once. We returned this to the store for a better toy. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
Soo, wished I read the reviews while looking for this car for two months. Bought as a Christmas gift for my 3 year old and it was faulty..worked on and off as if there was a short in the wiring. Needless to say I returned it only to buy one that didn't work at all ( Both had New batteries). Not worth the time or the money!
Concept is great, but that is about it. Bought 2 for Christmas gifts for the grandkids. One worked the other didn't. Contacted Hasbro/Tonka to ask them what to do with the car that doesn't work. No response. Not fair for the stores to have to deal with items that are faulty. It requires so many batteries, plus you have to be just about right on top of it for it to work. Wondering how long the one that is working is going to last.
I bought the bounce back racer for my 2yr old son for Christmas with tons of excitment to see him play with it on Christmas Day but when we got it out of the box it never worked. I am greatly disapointed because I thought it was going to be a great toy for him. If you do pruchase this toy make sure to keep your reciept and make sure it works properly. We will most likely try to buy another one soon.
This car wasn't exactly cheap, and my husband and I were so excited for son to open this on Christmas...but it wouldn't even turn on with brand new batteries! After about an hour of messing around with it, it turned on for about 5 minutes and then died again--what a disappointment! The instructions do say to turn it off for 5 minutes if it stops working, but we were literally having to do that like every 5 minutes anyway. My son very quickly lost interest since he couldn't play with it:( This product has so much potential and it surprises me that THIS would be an issue. I hope it gets fixed or discontinued...it was a big waste of money. I would NOT recommend this product.
This car looked so fun and I searched everywhere for it and finally found it for my son's Christmas morning gift. We took it out of the package, put in NEW batteries and it does not even power up. Perhaps Payskool was having an issue with this product and this was the reason why they were not available anywhere. We are very disappointed and I will be letting Playskool know of the poor quality of their product.
I purchased one for my 3 year old for Christmast and out of the box it did not work. I waited and ordered another to pick-up at the store and again it did not work out of the box! I had read the reviews after it happened to me the first time, but was hoping it wouldn't happen a second time!
