My husband requested this for a Father's Day gift but they weren't in stock so I had to order online. I order on Walmart.com frequently and have always received notice within a couple days that the product was available for pick-up, but this product took at least a couple weeks. My husband is very satisfied with the actual product
The only negative I found with this box was that it was to big for what I wanted it for. It was air tight, great for storing ammunition and strong. I had no use for the ammo tray so I returned it.
Great size and tray and shell organizer will be useful. Color is unique, good for the duckblind.
I am just starting my gun collection and related equipment. This is a perfect sized box to house all my ammunition and cleaning equipment. Box is well constructed and was delivered as promised by Walmart. And my Gun case was the same thing
Over the years, I have always turned to Plano for my shooting storage needs and small parts storage. I recently needed two new ammo cans (as my metal ones were beginning to rust). I have the identical Plano ammo can that I bought a few years ago. However, when the new cans arrived, I was disappointed to discover that Plano has cut corners to save on cost (understandable), and when I put the two cans side-by-side (old can and newly purchased can), there were some differences: 1) he handle no longer has a rubber grip. Not a big deal; I can live w/o that. 2) My biggest concern was the hinges. Instead of consecutive hinge sections touching to build a strong pivot and seal, the new hinges stuck out, were flimsy, only had a few sections that did not touch, and as soon as I opened it, the metal pin slid out from the last hinge (easy enough to slide back). After packing about 25 pounds into the box, the lid pulled so far off the main part of the box when I lifted it, that there was a gap in the back by the hinges. Also, the picture used to advertise the cans, were of the old boxes with the rubber handles. I think the days of Plano being a strong name for a strong ammo box are over. Would I use this box for dry storage in my car or to take from the car to the shooting range? Yes. Do I now trust this box to take the punishment of traveling on foot, 4-wheeling, or being knocked-around? No. I ended up buying MTM ammo boxes to replace the Plano boxes for ammo storage. MTM has a much stronger hinge, and the lid did not separate and sag from the box when I loaded it with 25 pounds. Though the latch on the Plano ammo box is stronger, and the handle is wider, I recommend the MTM box for heavy-duty duty. Plus the MTM can is stackable. Both good boxes for different uses.
